I agree. Brilliant is a perfect description. There is nothing redeeming about her character. Truly terrible to the core.
Just finished the first season. I very much liked it, despite some really dodgy science. I actually thought that Dr Smith’s harebrained scheme was one of the weaker parts of the show, but grew to really enjoy everything about Don West.

i agree with this. Dr Smith never quite clicked with me. kept on commenting about how ridiculous her plans were!
Don West has been very interesting so far. next season will be, interesting…

The Don West actor has much improved since his stint on Bones. And I’m told that that was an improvement from his time on General Hospital. Kind of neat to see someone who isn’t a natural actor improve over time (and keep getting jobs).
The show is pretty good. I don’t like when in the midst of a crisis situation, they have moments between characters to expound upon feelings, as if they have all the time in the world, but that seems a common issue in made for TV adventure.
