Looking For: Back To The Future Trilogy in 35mm

I want to do a project of scanning the whole trilogy

I’m disappointed with the 4K Version with DNR Applied and stuff that messes with the film grain.

I asked on 35mmforums for prints and received a offer from Italy but no further response sadly.

The 4K version isn’t THAT bad, it’s just over-exaggerated due to the title being as popular as it is

It does have DNR yes but it’s not near to the level of the old BDs and is still a significant upgrade

In my opinion, the 4K version has no real problems with DNR. The previous BD had egregious edge enhancement and DNR. But the 4K removed the edge enhancement and has much finer grain, which could be mistaken for actual DNR.
This is also the case for remastered versions of Scream and Tremors, which had previous Blu-rays with the same problems.

Project creator and film enthusiast.

Actually shots like these https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=14854&d2=14678&s1=154639&s2=151989&i=5&l=0 and chromatic error causing color to bleed on a part of the guitar. the grain reduction happened because hdr was done incorrectly on all three films valeyard said. also the thread starter is a little wrong. the only films that had it done the badly was back to the future 1 and 2. three has it noticeable in two scenes which yes I still think it should be fix but it isn’t as egregious. Back to the future trilogy deserved the same care as the karate kid trilogy actually more so because the third karate kid film isn’t that great. yes I know different studio. all three back to the future films are fun I heard the encoding might be the issue with the uhd bttf trilogy set.

I would also really like to get the whole trilogy’s 35mm scans. If anyone would send me a link I would greatly appreciate it.
