This is the one I purchased, and I actually got it from these guys:

They actually stock LD parts as well:

My enquiry to Pioneer's mail order retail spares company led me to this:
http://www.4ourhouse.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=3745307

I'd be cheaper getting it from Germany!

However, the same site had this:
http://www.4ourhouse.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=3434011

which is considerably cheaper than this:
http://www.4ourhouse.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=3442693

I think that last one must be pressed to order!

(£1 = 1.16 Euro = 1.49 USD)

maybe it is solid gold??

The German one comes to about 45 pounds. I can always post you mine if you ever want to calibrate your LD player using the service manual.

I found a MUSE test disc in Japan going for about $150, which is actually fairly cheap. Such a shame there was never a Star Wars release on MUSE.

The Wizard of Oz: The Ultimate Oz - Collector's Edition - on Side 4 long after the movie, and 4 minutes after the Turner logo are some odd patterns. It starts with 30 frames of regular color bars and then gets into a bunch I've never seen before, with extremely high-pitched audio tones (also much louder than the movie soundtrack). In total the onslaught lasts 600 frames.

It looks like all Criterion Collection laserdiscs contained color bars.

Just FYI, confirmed recently --

RE: the 2001: A Space Odyssey 2-disc Criterion Collection CLV budget laserdisc [CC1235L] (1990), in the Cinerama 70mm 2001 preservation. Is it possible? thread

Ok, I found a copy of the CLV.

....

I got the LD Monday .... Sadly, there are no color bars on the CLV which is odd for a Criterion.
