I'm still watching Taxi.

The scene with Louie explaining Pac-Man to Reverend Jim is one of the funniest things I've seen lately.

I watched the first five episodes of Lost in Space.

While I found the first two episodes pretty engaging, by the third I started getting tired with the proceedings; most of the characters are boring and there seems to be more padding than story going around. Also, what I've read about Dr. Smith's character evolution doesn't sound at all appealing to me.

Suffice it to say, I like the premise of the show, but the execution doesn't inspire me to carry through with the rest of it.

Yeah I used to watch it all the time in the 90s but then I was unable to find it on TV or DvD for over a decade.

It has held up better then most 90s sitcoms, still I wish it didn't have a laugh track.  I hate laugh tracks.

Oh, the pain, the pain! The first season is still superior to what came later when they went to color. The third season rebounded ever so slightly though.

You do know they spread out the pilot into the first several episodes? Dr. Smith and the robot weren't even in it.

I watch Lost in Space as a sitcom with Dr.Smith as the star.  He is a Blackadder type character who is taking advantage of all the idiots he is stuck hanging out with. Basically if you assume most of what he does is just an act to manipulate those around him the series becomes a very funny comedy.

I always thought of Smith more like a Long John Silver type. Even when he was still the sinister saboteur who wouldn't mind seeing the Robinson's perish, he played Will like a fiddle.

The 1990's LIS comic book, plotted out by Will Robinson himself, Billy Mumy, took the Robinsons back to the edge the early first season episodes had. It even explained away the sillier episodes as being from young Penny's point of view.

I rewatched the 1998 movie recently, and it was better than I remember. I think my disappointment at the time that a long planned reunion film with the original cast didn't get off the ground, made me initially hostile to a reboot. Gary Oldman made for a pretty darn good Dr. Smith.

The whole series is coming out on Blu Ray this year!

This short film (The Leviathan, or basically, Moby Dick... but they're in SPACE!) is one of the most stunning things I've seen all day.

Fingers crossed that some of the new Star Wars movies can match the power of this short film.

Thanks to the local library and Shout Factory finally getting the rights to start releasing the series again I have started working my way through NYPD Blue.  Now this is really good Tv drama just the way I like it.  What is more I can't understand why so many other Christians protested this show when it first came on.  It seems to mostly come from a true Christian view point where sins are not just sins because God says they are sins for no reason, they are sins because they mess your life up.  The law of God is written as a guide to having a good life.  So far every time someone sins it messes up their life in a realistic and not preachy way.  In worldview it may be one of the most Christians shows I have ever seen, they just don't preach about it and let you draw the conclusion by watching the stories play out.

It is extremely well acted too.  I know a lot of people who have never seen this show due to it being off of DvD and not rerun any more but I am telling you if you have not seen it give it a shot, just don't watch it with kids around that is all.

This is a well made drama written for adults, not children.

After hearing so many rave reviews about American Horror Story, I thought I'd give the first season a try. So I got through the first season, watching half of it last night and the rest of it today.

To put a long rant short, it's incongruous, cliched, underexplained, unresolved bullshit. Incongruous, cliched, underexplained, unresolved bullshit with a decent cast, to be sure, but incongruous, cliched, underexplained, unresolved bullshit all the same.

Needless to say, I'm not going to bother with the rest of the series; even if the following storylines are unconnected to this season's storyline, with the same showrunners in charge, they're bound to produce only more of the same.

Oh, and as a final note, it's now official -- I can't stand Zachary Quinto. If I can go through the rest of my life without seeing him in anything else ever again, I can die a happier man.

That reminds me:

Having seen nothing but the trailers for Season 4 of American Horror Story, is the influence of Tod Browning's Freaks as obvious to anyone else as it is to me?

After a year of watching it on and off, I've finally finished watching The Clone Wars.

Needless to say, it's better than the prequels, and taken for what it is, it's an above average show. However, it isn't true Star Wars and never will be, at least not in my eyes; the final episode made that very clear to me.

My rating of the show overall: B

I think the final episode did a lot to bridge the gap between prequel Yoda and OT Yoda. Been a while since I've seen it though.

I suppose you're right. Still, the image of Yoda and Palpatine with lightsabers is something I'll never be able to stomach.

Both wonderful colours, especially the first one.

*sigh*

A Mexican robot is singing a love song to a tank, and all you guys want to do is talk about Third Rock and make obvious/lame jokes.

Not I. I want to sabotage the burgeoning relationship between said Mexican robot and tank.

"Attack on Titan"

The best anime series I have seen in a very long time. This one will be a classic.

I can't wait for the second season. From the admittedly limited amount of anime series I have seen, this is my favorite.

Also, there's a live action movie in the works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InF16sp7J0M and it looks just terrible.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
