C’mon, you’re funnier than that.

Friday the 13th (1980) – 6/10
Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) – 5/10
Friday the 13th Part III (1982) – 5.5/10
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) – 5/10
Keep going, 5 is super dumb, but 6 is amazingly dumb fun.
I’ve actually seen all* the F13 movies before. I used to watch them regularly back in high school.
*Well, not the reboot. To hell with that.
I saw the reboot in the Theaters. It was not bad, but not as good as the original.

So…Jason can go to hell?

Not from the reboot. That one’s from Jason X aka Jason on a Spaceship.
Awww crap, I thought for sure it was from the reboot.

Reboot had nothing so gleefully self-parodic…or so clever in any way.
American Sniper (2014) 7.5/10

Nah, that’s not from X. I forget which one it’s from. He does that in X too, but that gif is from… 7?
La Dolce Vita (1960)
This has been cited as one of the best movies ever made, and coined the term “paparazzi”, but it left me cold for long stretches of time. Good opening, good ending, middling middle.

There are stretches of La Dolce Vita that blow my mind, but I agree that it doesn’t quite hang together as a whole. I think I prefer 8 1/2.

The Reboot’s prologue is pretty good, like a Best of Jason. The rest is bleh.

I feel like you’re right.

Just watched Manchester by the Sea (2016). It’s sad and depressing. The directing and pacing, really put you into the movie. There are some light moments, so it’s not all entirely dreary.
Hacksaw Ridge (2016) 7.5/10

The Hot Fuzz (2007). The second movie, in the Cornetto Trilogy. I like this movie, seen it many times.
The Lego® Batman™ Movie
I had fun. Bat-fans of all kinds should appreciate all the references and cameos from Batman’s entire rogues’ gallery.
DC’s best movie in years, which is both wonderful and tragic at the same time.
.
The LEGO Batman Movie - 8.5/10
The best Batman (and DC, for that matter) film in almost 9 years. A 104-minute long non-stop barrage of laughs.
Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985) – 5/10
Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) – 5/10
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) – 4/10
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) – 4/10

And with the Paramount entries in the series out of the way, I’ll list everything I like about them:
And that’s it, really.
I’m tired of watching these movies – and I’m in no great hurry to watch Jason X or Freddy vs. Jason again – so I think I’ll take a long break before continuing on with the New Line sequels.
Into self punishment I see.
And no, not like that.
Into self punishment I see.
I voluntarily watched Manos: The Hands of Fate, Turkish Star Wars, and The Holiday Special all twice, so yes, I am.
Being There (1979). An interesting Peter Sellers movie about a simpleton who likes to watch TV.

Manos is a walk in the park compared to the Coleman Francis trilogy of pain. Never watch those without robot friends. 😉
Where were you in '77?
Sing Street - 9/10
Wow. This movie is a lot of fun. I’ve heard a lot of praise from natives of Ireland saying how accurate its depiction of 1980’s Ireland, but being an American millennial, I can’t relate. What I can relate to is interesting characters and some damn good music. I highly recommend it.
Split
Suffers from a lot of Shyamalan’s typical weaknesses, and the exposition is delivered in an extremely clumsy way that reminded me of Commissioner Gordon from Adam West’s Batman, but is mostly successful. It reminded me a lot of 10 Cloverfield Lane, but it sadly didn’t rise to the same heights for me.
