PALE – TOAD THE WET SPROCKET
ALBUM: 9/10
ALBUM COVER: 4/10
This is a really dope album cover man. What type of music does this band play?
Prog rock.
Interesting. I’ll give Milliontown a try some time this week.
My ratings:
Milliontown 9/10
Experiments in Mass Appeal 7/10
Falling Satellites Incomplete (needs a few more listens but 8/10 preliminary score)
Experiments is a bit of an outlier because there’s a different lead singer than the other two, and I don’t like his voice as much. YMMV.

What the heck is that?
Man you’ve never heard of the Shadows of the Empire Multimedia Project? There was the book and the game and the CD. The music is actually really decent and goes right along with the book. Xizor’s Theme is constantly in my head.

The movies are like 99% of my Star Wars universe. The rest is the ESB Atari 2600 game. 😉
It’s worth a listen. The book itself isn’t amazing, but it’s worth a read for the experience with the music.

In that case one should listen to the Thrawn Trilogy audiobooks instead since those are way better.
But the Thrawn Trilogy doesn’t give you any context for the music from Shadows of the Empire. =P

As long as the music fits the scene nothing else matters.
I don’t really think that the stories follow the same narrative path. Shadows of the Empire was basically scored to the book and it follows pretty well. It’d be like watching Empire with Star Wars’ score.

Here’s a revolutionary idea, but why not just listen to the score and ignore the book?
I think the context of the story is helpful for understanding the music.

Most awesome choice.

It’s a background story. There was also an N64 game for this story.

I think you quoted the wrong post…
Album: 8/10
Album Art: 7/10
Not quite the same as it’s predecessor, Koyaanisqatsi. Though I suppose more of the same wouldn’t be anything special. Still, not quite the same.

Fantastic.
