Is there an mp3 version of this, as opposed to FLAC?

The reason ABC is turning into the Hulk right now: MP3s are inherently a lower-quality sound than FLAC, and this project is all about the highest quality sound. If you really want to download the FLACs and convert them to high-quality MP3s for your ipod, then do it, but ABC is the sort who wouldn't ever ever ever release these as MP3s.

I'd convert them, except that my usual converter isn't working with the FLAC files.  So I ask again, are there mp3s made by anyone?  No offense to ABC's quality work, in fact quite the opposite - I want to be able to enjoy this digitally on the go via my iPod with the rest of my Star Wars expanded scores.  That's all.

Get the flac, get cuetools and convert them to lossless M4A's. That's what I did. No way in hell would I convert this release to Mp3.

or you could get rockbox if your ipod is supported, that would allow it to play flac files.

I'm not modifying my iPod and I'm not downloading software I don't know anything about.  Has no one already converted this to mp3?

You seem mad, but I'll bite.

Well, the fact that you want Mp3 files kind of tells you what you can do.

Grab the CD and rip the Mp3s using itunes, simple! Instant Mp3 or M4As for ipods. Stop being lazy and do it yourself!

^ What ? Maybe my language issue, but are you asking if the project has been released ???

Cause if it's the case, and despite I can't stand your audio inputs, you had it in your pm box since you requested it.

... Sorry if I misunderstood the question.

PS: And yes, rpvee, please just do it yourself. If you don't know how to do it you'll find right away through google and you'll find pretty fast simple freewares.

I'm not mad, sorry if I came off as such.  I'm used to burning things through iTunes itself, but I'll find out how to do FLAC.  Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't thought of that.

Kraycek### told Rpvee to "rip the CD" and to my knowledge you only released it via RAR archives

Is it too late to ask for links to this?

The samples are very impressive. I'm dying to hear the whole thing!

The project has been updated here.

Check you pm's. Does anyone have the link to SET 3 for him? I only have the ones to SET 1 & 2.

Also remind that Set 1 is corrupted (nothing bad, seems to be the upload. The original has been checked and wasn't corrupted). Just repair/restore it with the Winrar option, it works.

PS: If someone can pm me the link for Set 3 besides... Thanks. ;)

I've got set 1 and 2 now (thanks!) and used a trial version of WinRAR to fix Set 1.  Is there someplace I can put the fixed version so others can get it?

You can reup it, no problem.

I know I ranted a bit about the Alt binaries and co but if someone wants to up these there, after all...

PS: I've pm'd you (both) Set 3

Got 'em. I'll be burning these to CD and listening to them this weekend. A quick listen to some of the cues on my computer is making me very excited. It sounds extremely promising!

Thanks again!

Outstanding.  Really really terrific.  I've been playing through all three sets all day today.

Now I just need to track down the DVD and I'm set!  ;)

Sadly I just discovered my isp does not automatically include usenet.  What a sad sad world.  *sigh*
