the theatrical cut is available in Europe (R2 DVD) by Warner, with an anamorphic transfer, isolate music track and the original theatrical trailer (not on the R1 DVD).

I have both the R1 and R2 DVD, and I prefer the theatrical Cut.

how about putting the h.r. giger documentaries which were only available as japan releases on ld on dvd?

there was one about him being an artist and another one about his work on alien. I've seen some guy selling them on ebay for mucho cash.

Not sure if it's been posted before, but the "Frighteners (Unrated Director's Cut)" is coming to dvd on November 29th. I'm not sure how much of the LD extras will be included in the US release, but I hear that the Japanese version will include all of the extras!! If there are differences between the US and Japanese sets, I'll get them both. I loved this movie!!

Also, there was mention of Monster Squad here. I have the Fullscreen laserdisc and will be converting to DVD soon. I'll gladly "share the wealth" once I'm done.

Someone on here was looking for Meet the Feebles and Brain Dead. BOTH of these have been released on DVD and shouldn't be hard to find. I got both of these quite a while ago.....

I'll confirm later, but i dont think mine is widescreen, as i dont recall my buddy
having the japanese release.

OK, just checked my copy, and it IS widescreen. Now i'm not sure where i got.
I know my buddy made a LD to DVD-R transfer, but i'm wondering if this version
came from www.myspleen.com, or some other bit torrent source. It has somewhat
decent menus, with chapters, and the theatrical trailer.

Yes, I'd be interested in obtaining a copy of The Making of Slipstream. It's one of those movies that had so much potential but just didn't quite... I'll bet there's some interesting stories behind the production of that one.
