I’m trying to find either a torrent or download of the star wars 1997 special edition trilogy. Does anyone know where I can find a link or download to these? would really love to these versions on to dvd’s. thanks!
You know, sometimes lurking on the forums and searching through them for a couple days before posting can be a good idea.
But, because you are at least being polite and not demanding, search for either Harmy’s Respecialized Efition, or Team Blu’s 97 special edition. Neither of them have done the whole trilogy yet, but that’s about the best quality you could want of ANH.
I didn’t mean to sound demanding I’ve been looking through the forums and I know what to look for but I can’t find link. Just thought I’d ask is all, no harm no foul. Thanks anyways.

I know that Harmy has remastered the 1997 version of A new Hope but I don’t know where to find Empire or Jedi. I think Adywan reconstructed 1997 for empire but idk. Any help would be great
Adywan’s ESB 1997 was released in MKV (14 GB) and AVCHD (8 GB) formats. Both can be found on Usenet by searching for “adywan 1997” in the NZBKing search engine. If you are new to Usetnet, try NZBGet software along with a free account from the “free-usenet” provider. I do not think any ROTJ 1997 has been reconstructed, but a number of laserdisc rips are available.

Hm, I do remember quite a few years back finding remnants of a ROTJ 1997-SE on a certain bay… But even though the same version of ESB also was available, it was impossible in the end to compile the full ROTJ-file. Pretty sure it also originated from adywan. Perhaps a fake decoy?

For those who are interested, I got into contact with You_Too and using his original AviSynth scripts I was able to release the 1997 versions of ESB and ROTJ that Dark Jedi never got around to rendering out. They are available over on the TSWT Forums.
I also released my D+97 reconstructions in the same style as the oohteedee versions, with the 4K UHD Blu rays as the main sources and 4K97 used for 1997 exclusive footage.
