I think the longer hair could work if done right. Adds some much needed continuity, short of superimposing a young Sebastian Shaw's face over Hayden's mug in the prequels.

Well we'll find a way to make him look better. That mock-up was very good in my opinion, but maybe the hair needs to look wavy a bit and also make his smile more 'kindly' if that's possible.

Try to not doublepost! :)
I think that hair even they look good they need other direction and not be like ready fro photoshoot :)

Ah, damn internet froze and I don't know why it double posted. There isn't a way that I can delete one of them is there?
Anyway we'll just have to wait and see what happens with the end celebration scene and ghosts.

What is the rationale of the long hair? He had shaggy hair when young, then became bald and stayed that way until he became a 'ghost.' So is The Force determining what the length of his hair would be when he's dead, or did Anakin choose his hairstyle when he entered the afterlife? ("I'd like it straight and parted to the side, please.") ;) The mock-ups are fun, but I don't see any problem in leaving Shaw exactly as he is in that scene.
We don't want him looking like James May, do we? (but if someone wants to try, go for it!)
Oh wow, lol, I'm with Vaderios, I thought this was a joke as well.
I mean, you can't be serious, Shaw look rediculous with that wig :P

Excellent job. Could you do a version where you crinkle his hair a little bit to match Christensen's? :)
Looking at this I couldn't help but think of:
My higher rez panorama of Ben's hut is coming on a pace (for bringing Ben's ghost home post sabre hiding/message recording)
Here is a mini preview of the scope of the thing, I still have to find and map in a lot of details and correct wonkyness but you get the general idea all of this made possible by Ady's HD version of ANH, still can't find any quality info for the near end of the arch as it never appeared on screen anyway:

The argument of the rationale of long hair, at least to me, can also apply to him having hair at all! He died bald... why is he not bald??
Just a thought.
“Lifes a song you don’t get to rehearse, and every single verse can make it that much worse”
^True! I bet someone will do a mock-up of that, too.
would be sinister having him in the vadersuit, just with the mask removed but the breathing piece still on. it would miss the symbology though.
personally id like to see shaws face haydenised slightly perhaps (not the hair) and in anakins ROTS robes.

Beat me to it.
Also the fact he's wearing robes he never wore even as a Jedi.

wow, just noticed this! i really like it. sounds daft, but id love to see more panaramic shots of areas just as images as this looks great.
a few thoughts though.
would the shed be weathered at all? or just grimy after a few years of abandonment, or would it be perfectly preserved as noone has been there? in Wales there are numerous cabins in the abandoned quarries where workmen's mugs are still left on tables and coats on pegs from the last day they worked there over 40 years ago.
also, would it be worth making a miniature of the set? and mixing that with the photos?
this technique you are using though is brilliant, cant wait to see the hi res version!:)
What I think of the whole "Anakin's Hair" idea.

Assuming that Yoda and Obi Wan are dressed in the same clothes they had on when they died, then logically, shouldn't Vader appear the same?
Not the most peaceful looking Jedi ghost... but whatever!

but luke took off vaders suit

He only took off the helmet. (The idea that he only burned the suit is EU and can be disregarded if an editor desires.)
fishmanlee said:but luke took off vaders suit
why would you cremate a suit?
I always took is as Burning of the physical remains is a jedi tradition (made true by TPM)

Actually that helps a great deal (not so much for the detail as it is understandably blurry) but for the angle and alignment the arch curve and the placement of some of the furniture.
Thanks again Ady.
I may even be able to add a ceiling and more of a floor to the thing if I can replicate the texture.
The final image will not be true HD because to merge the seperate elements together will create a real patchwork but I will make the final mosiac available for anyone who wants to further adjust it to there own ends, (further decay, lightsabre building materials different light conditions and the like).
I've kept R2 in the shot for scale but I will produce a version with him removed too for people who want to have a real blank slate to work from.

don't get me wrong it looks cool, but it needs to be done right
there is a great opportunity here for the imperial fleet to come into view as they orbit the forest moon & block the rebels as apposed to just sitting there in open space in a tight formation as they are now,
But the problem lies with the throne room, surely we should be able to see the horizon line of the DSII from that POV, which would make it impossible for luke to see the battle as it would be happening under neath the horizon as it is now. this calls into question where the throne room is in relation to the DSII's main weapon.
The story, (according to various books) is that the throne room tower is located at the DS2's north pole. I assume that the direction of the Emperor's window is pretty much aligned with the superlaser.
There is not just that window, though. There are several, in which Endor could be made seen. But it has to be consistent with the light on the window frames.
And then there is the question: Wouldn't a green light in the background be a distraction from the main action?
