No need for a disclaimer. Prince once said that he had two souls living in his brain and he was still trying to determine their genders. If we had to discount music purely for behavior at least %10 of the hall would be null and void.
I also would go so far as to say that I like every Cars album I’ve heard (which admittedly is not all of them) more than American Idiot. I also find the title song extremely obnoxious.

Why can’t Microsoft make a good OS?! I mean, a really good OS! I mean, like an XP-2. Windows XP was the greatest PC OS in history as far as I’m concerned, and they stop supporting updates back in like, 2011. I want a new Windows XP! WIndows 8 makes me angry, and Windows 10 makes me angrier. Windows Vista made me angry first, though.

I had zero complaints with Win 8.1 once I got used to it.

Some people have zero complaints with the SE trilogy once they get used to them 😉. Even when Win 10 is fully fixed (settings-wise), it still looks rather ugly, and requires a classic skin to be visually pleasing at all. IMO XP was the best OS, and alongside being the best functionally, it looked the best too.

But wouldn’t liking Green Day be subjective too? I’m not a big fan but I don’t have a problem with them in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. I’m also not a big The Cars guy but their self titled album is probably one of the best rock albums ever, so it is pretty silly that they’re not in.

Windows 10 bloated updates are getting ridiculous. The last one took almost 11 hours with the new laptop.
Glad I haven’t upgraded the other one, although that “free upgrade” pop up window needs to be destroyed.

I feel like this almost makes sense but doesn’t. You’re making it sound like if you don’t like a band you have a bias against them, but that’s not necessarily the case. There are different levels of liking. What if I don’t like Green Day and only kind of like The Cars? Does that make me unobjective? Or can’t I say The Cars are objectively more worth liking than Green Day? What if I don’t like either of them? Does that mean I can’t compare objectively? Or maybe I can because they’re on the same level for me? But they can’t be on the same level or I wouldn’t be saying one is better than the other, right?
Music is simply too subjective - there’s no right or wrong here. And comparing too fairly different bands means even more cause for subjectivity.

I have an example to add. I don’t particularly care for Michael Jackson’s music, but I recognize the musical talent that he has.

To clarify, if you hate one band, you’re gonna think the other is better whether you think the other band is great or you don’t care either way.
When I hear someone say “the title track is obnoxious” I wonder if that’s someone who can’t think objectively about that band.
To Dek’s point, I’m not a fan of The Beatles, but I can admit from an objective standpoint that they were talented and influential.
If you don’t think Green Day is talented or influential, I don’t know what else to say to you.
