I think my favourites are Cowclops v.2, Moth3r and Dr Gonzo... in no particular order. But on the other hand, I haven't seen all of the available transfers there is.

It really depends what you are looking for..............

PAL or NTSC?
A straight transfer or through filters and modified?
Widescreen or Fullscreen?

Living in the UK, the Moth3r and Citizen PAL transfers are very good. The recently announced set by Grinder looks very promising too.

For NTSC, if you had either the EditDroid set, either TR47/Cowclops set, the Dr Gonzo set, the IsoMix set or any of the Dark Jedi sets you would not be dissapointed.

None are perfect but all have their strong points and are worthy of a look.

The Moth3r has great picture quality, but has a PAL speedup on it. Which I wish someone would fix. The Cowclips version 2 has served me well in general.

They're not laserdisc transfers but DVD transfers, but I would of course recommend my own Classic Edition edits for 2004-quality picture and sound done in the O-OT way.

My DVDs have audio that has been pitch-corrected.

You may be thinking of the mono mix file, captured from a recording from UK TV, which does play at a higher pitch due to PAL speedup.

I was referring to the picture, not the audio. It, and also the TB and Gkar Special Editions, runs faster than the film is supposed to, which caused me problems making my Classic Editions. Since Jedi uses your transfer and the TB set so heavily, I should have done more than I did to make them 24 fps compliant, but with ESB it was much less noticeable so I didn't change my methods much. Hm.
