http://auctions.yahoo.com/ Don't link to auctions of bootlegs, thanks.

This guy (TR47?) is selling the complete series of Get A Life! (see page 2)

Is this available anywhere else (i.e. for free)? I would love to see it, but there is not a retail release of the complete series yet.

Buy it through Paypal.

When you receive it, complain to your credit card company that the seller has sold you a bootleg DVD, and you want a refund.

With any luck your credit card company will recharge paypal, and the scum will not only have to refund you, but may also have to pay a chargeback fee as well.

In the meantime, you've ripped the DVDs and put them on a torrent site for everyone to download for free.

Has anyone actually done that before, or is it just a theoretical process?

Edit: Sorry - I didn't think linking to it would be a problem since I was calling attention to the fact that the seller was selling bootlegs. I should have put something to the effect of "please report this seller" as well. I didn't mean to go against the forum rules.

What I usually do when I really want a dvd on ebay or what not, is if the seller doesn't mention it's a DVD-R and makes it sound like an "official" dvd then I go ahead and purchase it, then when I recieve it. I email the person back and state that the auction didn't mention it was a DVD-R and my DVD player doesn't play DVD-Rs. I've almost allways recieved a refund from anyone with a good feedback rating, most of the time they tell me to just keep the dvd. Telling them I'll post positive feedback if I get a refund also helps. Then just say something like "Seller refunded money quickly" or something like that.

I would try that route first, if that doesn't work, try the other method.

Get a Life is on commercial DVD. I've rented one off of Netflix. (Love that show. )
