The MPC-HC (an open-source media player) http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ with the Matroska Media Container (an open-source MKV container) http://www.matroska.org/ will get these files playing nicely on the PC. (Depending on the version of Windows, an earlier version of the player might be used for compatibility; see its changelog for all released versions.)

Usenet (a.b.starwars) and MySpleen.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

How are you guys viewing this movie are you just watching on your computer or do most of you burn copies to discs? What is better a DVD copy or a Blu-ray copy? What is the best way to package the discs? Do you guys put labels onto the discs or just leave them blank? I have heard of adhesive issues related to labels.

Never use paper labels. All you're doing is making the disc unbalanced and will kill your drive. Use printable discs, either ink jet or light scribe.

But personally I don't use discs at all anymore. I have a dedicated server with TB's of MKV's on it to a media player.

I love everybody. Lets all smoke some reefer and chill. Hug and kisses for everybody.

Thanks :) I will check usenet as I don't have MySpleen

Edit: Can't seem to find it on using my usenet providers search. Checked binsearch, is it Fixed_DeEdv2.0?

Yes, I believe that's the latest, fixed, release.

I am having a unique issue where when I play the movie on my computer using VLC the audio has no problems but on my standalone the space battle begins about 30 seconds before the opening crawl disappears. Can someone help me out I am new to Blu-ray burning

I recently downloaded a copy of the despecialized star wars, empire, and return of the jedi and I am trying to put them on Blu-ray. Here is the problem when I view the files from off of my hard drive through VLC player all the audio matches up perfectly but when I watch it on Blu-ray I can hear the space battle begin before the opening crawl goes away.

I know that there is a known issue with the German and Spanish tracks being out of sync but not the English ones.

Another bit of possibly useful information is that all 16 tracks are equally out of sync

My computer and my playstation cannot play the move only my samsung standalone can and the audio sync issue is not occurring in the preview in my blu-ray burning software

Maybe it would be a good idea to tell us which version (MKV or AVCHD) and how (using which software) are you burning, since this is indeed a unique issue - I even played the MKV on my Samsung standalone from an external HDD and had no such problem. And the AVCHD version or the MKV simply remuxed to m2ts should play in a PS3 as well. Also did you try playing it in VLC directly from the burned disc?

Ok, thanks :) Binsearch is saying it requires a password, does anyone know what the password is for the .rar?

Not sure if it is mkv or AVC HD

You have to open up that image in a new tab the file name ends in .mkv but the codec says AVC so I really don't know. I am using ImToo Blu-ray Creator 2 which I paid $50 for so I am pretty ticked off. I couldn't use ImgBurn as a certificate and BDMV were not supplied. This really is my first time burning Blu-rays

Maybe I could create a video on my iphone showing the setup and everything so it would be easier to illustrate my situation

Buying ImToo BD Creator was probably a mistake since it probably re-encodes the video a fucks up the quality (plus apparently the audio sync). What you want is a free program called TS Muxer.

Here's a complete guide including the burning and it's all absolutely free:

Just made an account. Harmy, you and everyone who has contributed to your projects are awesome by the way.

I had a similar problem, the audio was fine in the mkv but after being burned it was out of sync by about 1000ms...

Actually, I got the mkvs from torrents and ran into problems besides the audio sync. MuseR didn't want to accept the mkvs at all unless I passed the file through mkvmerge. And then, it played fine from the LG drive but would streak when played from my old HP player. I put the mkv through SUPER (without audio, I could get the tracks back in with mkvmerge). Not ideal for sure but paid close attention to the settings to get the best output i could from the source. Fixed the problems I had.

Star Wars just needed to go through mkvmerge once before tsMuxeR would like it.

Empire and Jedi had the streaking issue and I sent it through SUPER before tsMuxeR.

Thank you so much for helping out a novice like me I will enjoy your work for years to come and share it with everyone I know. This will be a perfect Christmas gift for someone I know

I do not believe there was an MKV release, just AVCHD.  But with mkvmerge, you can very easily save them as MKV's

Ah ok, thanks :D Just didn't want to ruin the quality of Harmy's work, wasn't sure if mkvmerge would do that or not.
