My end at this moment sucks, haha. I'll figure it out somehow. As I said, I'm craving and stubborn.
There must be something wrong on your end, because JDownloader show all the links to be online when I import them.
I'm not going to be re-uploading this but kilik64 said he'd be making it available through myspleen when he gets it.

just go to the links directly, and you should be fine.
i tried jdownloader, and had the same issue. (files showing
up offline) even though the files were there..
so finally watched this version..
good job harmy.. i only have a 32" inch widescreen, and
it looks prety decent, although a lot of it is dimmer than what
i expected... all the SD shots stood out though...
i guess i've watched the SE version a lot more so the
original scenes stand out quite a bit (i've only seen the unaltered
version a few times)... maybe once the bluray's come out, it can
be improved. until we get a restored version from other sources..

I've reinstalled JD, and all of a sudden the direct download is working too. Slowly but surely. On another note, I have BDRips of all the 6 movies (4 size 8,5 GB, 2 23,8 GB) But I have no Idea what would be handiest to get them to you. At least they're already up in newsgroups.
Edit: Only Eps. 2 + 3 (the 23 GB ones) look decent. The 9GB do not, which is understandable yet weird since they looked really crisp op my friends HD tv. But I'm not that technically knowledgable I'm afraid.
It's amazing Harmy, just amazing. I can't believe the detail, it's insane. I feel bad for anyone who is watching this searching for things to nitpick. I just sat back and enjoyed, and I was blown away. Seamless Harmy. Incredible job.

Dimmer? Do you mean like darker? Because it's definitely much brighter than the SEs.
And did you check out the comparisons? There is close to 200 changed shots. Do you mean that all of them stood out?
And I don't see how the SD original scenes could be improved by the blu-ray SEs, if anything, they would stand out even more when put into the higher quality Blu-Ray source.

Good to hear you managed to start downloading.
And you can't have BDRips of any of the live action star wars films, because they never came out on Blu-Ray. There are only HDTV rip and that's what I'm using for these edits.

20 minutes and it will be miiiiine mwuhahahaaaa!!!
Okay...so my friend mistakenly told me they were bdrips. I heard that there are (apparently 'will be') SW bd's, so that's why I didn't question it.
Thanks for clearing it up :)
Just finished watching it for the second time. This is awesome. Harmy rules. Harmy is the fucking man, he's Zeus, he's Elvis. This disc is the balls, it's the cat's vagina, it's a cream dream. I'm gonna go watch it again.
HARMY RULES
I don't know much about the history of audio mixes of SW, but does anyone know of our current best source for the mono mix featured in this project?
Also, I wonder if anyone's attempted an up mix of it that would retain its distinct audio choices in a mix suitable for modern setups.
I enjoyed listening to bits of it and enjoying how the occasional audio difference catches me off guard.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
Hi there, first post and all that, hello!
I'm very excited to see this reconstruction but I've hit a small snag. Every time I try and extract the .rar files, it gets right up to the very end and then asks me to "Please locate the file named sw-deed-part1.r00." Has this happened to anyone else? Help? D:
I'm now seeding this on the spleen.

So I just got it home (had to redownload one part) and though I have only had the time to check a few scenes, the quality is fantastic. Saw a few places where it's noticable that lower source was used, but I'm not really that picky about image quality and will watch the complete thing when I get home from work today. It's an incredible thing that you have done and I thank you very much for this!

That's weird. What are you using to unrar?
Every now and then, somebody comes on here with big ideas. Promising an amazing restoration, and occasionally it happens.
Harmy came on here with plenty of great ideas, of which I thought "Yeah right, I've heard that before."
Yet he showed us previews of his work. I would see it, and think "Star Wars hasn't ever looked like that on home video."
When he finished his project, I took a chance with it. I said "I've got a bunch of DVD 9s lying around, I'll give it a shot."
It took a few days of failed downloads and slow internet, but I finally was able to burn it last night. This morning in my groggiest state, I grabbed the coffee, closed the curtains and the blinds, turned off the lamps, and fired up the Blu-Ray player.
The moment the camera panned down on Tatooine and revealed a beautiful punch of orange, I haven't ever had the pleasure of seeing on my screen. I said "This is what I've been waiting for."
Every scene after just kept getting better. The colours, the sounds, the editing. Very few scenes jumped out at me as lower quality. I don't have the eyes most folks have on here, but I gotta say I never grimaced at my 42'' television. I didn't think I would ever see Star Wars look this good
My only gripe about your and many others' hard work, was the fact that it was necessary.
I've gotta pick up my old DVD cover making hobby, because a blank CD case doesn't do your work justice. It's going on the top shelf.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Thanks :-)

Stuffit Expander. Is there something else I could try? Or a different set of links?
Try win rar (there should be a free trial) or 7Zip.
Oh, and the password is harmy!
On the Mac I use 'The Unarchiver' rather than Stuffit. :)

I'm trying this one now. Fingers crossed...

How do "you other Mac users" play it? Just by throwing the .m2ts into VLC?
I play it using my set-top blu-ray player and LCD TV. ;) That said I did take a quick peek at it on my Mac using VLC before I burned it to disc.Loconut said:

I have no Blu-ray player as of yet, but I cán attach my Macbook to the tv.

Yeah, that's how I got it to work.
And, Jesus, I watched a few scenes... dear God, my pants. D8
