Also, I bet Frink’s dining room table has looked like a swampland far longer than Adywan’s.

My dining room table is covered with little girls’ artwork.

I’m not a pirate, why is everyone calling me a pirate

Author
Time

I think it stems from his preference toward shitty encodes.

It’s not that (though it may be true), he openly admitted to committing internet piracy.

Army of Darkness: The Medieval Deadit | The Terminator - Color Regrade | The Wrong Trousers - Audio Preservation
SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

If he has a commission from the Queen to do so, then technically he’s a privateer.

Project Threepio (Star Wars OOT subtitles)

So shouldn’t he be banned? Or is he just another sock living on borrowed time.

The only thing I have pirated were some roms of some old videogames (which I have sitting on my shelf anyway), so I could play them on PC, and then english CamRip of TFA, which is Disney’s fault for not airing English version in my country.

Will Amazon not ship the blu Ray to your country either?

Except maybe for the Camrip I wouldn’t say he is a selfish pirate. He says he owns all the games he’s pirated.

Does your Blu-Ray have an English track?

I’d say as long as you own the Blu-Ray you’re cool downloading it. Kind of like our general rule of owning the Star Wars Blu-Rays before getting Despecialized.

I would not buy it if it didn’t

It had nothing to do with the BD. This was before that was out. He said that the film wasn’t being shown in English in his country, so he downloaded a cam so he could watch it at home with English audio. As in, rather than going to the cinema and watching the film legally (or waiting till a BD release happened to watch it), he obtained a pirate copy. That’s why Frink started calling him a pirate.

Ah, that makes a bit more sense. I think the “Original Trilogy-approved” solution would be for him to go to the cinema, buy a ticket, then torrent the cam and watch it just once.

That’s what I’d recommend, anyway.

This makes more sense now. I second what Colson said

Not the only instance, but yes.

I don’t want to defend or attack anybody but please don’t forget there are countries where downloading a movie is perfectly legal. Not sure if it’s his cause, but I’m only reacting to the suggestion that “watching a downloaded copy of a film” is automatically illegal everywhere.
