Happy Beer Day, USA! (01/07/2015)
Go home ray, you're drunk.
Prohibition ended 82 ago years today! HOORAY!
I have today off and will be enjoying a variety brews throughout the day, starting with one of my favorites, Odells Levity ale.
Mmm-MM!

HA! And I haven't even started yet...
Not a good sign, is it?
Fixed.
So you'll be enjoying some Bud Light and Pabst Blue Ribbon then? Or perhaps Natty Ice is more your thing.
Ha, just kidding. :P Enjoy your frolics. I unfortunately have to work today... so I'll probably be pretty toasty too.
The only light beer I'll drink is the occasional Budweiser (never Bud Light) which is only 0.1% away from a regular beer anyways, and Guinness which is 0.9% away from a reg.
I'll never really understand the Light beer thing. If people drink it to cut calories and carbs, there's not enough difference for it to even matter. And it always tastes like crap. Why won't they just have a normal beer? Why is Bud Light so popular?
Also, I lied. I'm not starting with my trusty stand-by, Levity, but instead I'm about to kick things off with another favorite, The Sixth Glass.

Well I was joking about the bud light and pabst and natty, every body knows those beers are bottom of the barrel!
The calorie thing isn't ENTIRELY true though. Sure 50-60 calories a pop may not seem like much in one beer. But let's say someone (and we're not going to implicate me in this or anything...) drinks a 6 pack of beer a day. That leads to calorie loss of about 300 a day. That's a chipotle burrito you didn't eat! And in a week that saves you 2100 calories... a whole days worth of calories. I would go out on a limb and say that someone could lose about 6 pounds in two weeks just by switching to light beer, even though that person wasn't really overweight to begin with.
FYI Innis & Gunn. Best beer ever.

Finally! A thread where I can post this gif:
But... but it's totally backwards. I don't like it! *Runs away... to drink beer*
I'd join you, but I hate beer. =P
HAPPY BEER DAY!
Everybody should watch "Beerfest - Extended Edition" !!!
#chuglife
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
That Blue Velvet gif is great! I used to drink a bit of Pabst before the hipsters drove the price up. Heineken is terrible stuff.

I'd rather watch the PT, one film after another, with no breaks (bathroom or otherwise), with my eyelids stapled open.

Send me an address and I can help you out with this scenario.

Alright, but only if you promise to use carpenter staples. Those puny paper staples are for pansies.

You ever had Budweiser's Black Crown Lager? It's got 6 % alcohol (still not much I guess) but it's quite enjoyable. I like it better than the original budweiser. I've been drinking budweiser select lately. I don't like it but it has less calories and I'm trying to lose a few pounds. Not alot just 10 or 15 or so so I figured it couldn't hurt. I've lost 5 so far just from switching to that.
Yeah, I've tried Black Crown. I worked for Brown Derby liquor stores for quite awhile and still get to hang and try all the new brews and attend liquor/wine/beer classes. It's great and I get to try everything without dropping cash on a questionable six pack!
But anyway, I don't like the Black Crown. I had one customer who liked it, but other than her, you're the only other I've heard give it a thumbs up. I don't think it's terrible, but certainly no good. ;p
I haven't liked the taste of Budweiser since they sold the company to Belgium. Which is strange because SO MANY good beers come from Belgium. Obviously the general public doesn't taste a change, but there are enough of us who can. There's a new beer brewed out of St. Louis by the one guy who didn't sell his share of the company (or something like that) and has now started a new company that brews the original recipe. I tried it on St. Pattys day and was very pleased. It's the original Budweiser! I can't for the life of me think of the name... but I'll get it from a friend and post if you're curious.
That'd be just lovely.
I hadn't posted that for some time and just needed somewhere to put it ;)
