Also if you’re expecting/wishing for PALPATINE’S Master to be somehow civil or be somehow emotionally detached as it pertains to taking lives you are absolutely crazy.

Nope. I wouldn’t expect any TPM+ Sith to show depth or nuance.

So you’re assuming just because he enjoys killing people he has no depth whatseoever? Sounds reasonable.

Does he care for anything other than UNLIMITED POWA?

Immortality and in general discovering the intricacies of The Force and how to bend it to his will at a cosmic level. This turned into an obsession that almost drove him mad. Even his musings, the way he talks and carries him set him apart from a lot of Sith.

I’m not saying he’s the deepest character in all of Star Wars but for Dark Siders he is an anomaly.

So, no?

Not wanting to die and being generally power hungry are two different things in my opinion. Would you say Anakin was only looking for UNLIMITED POWA when he went turned to the Dark Side? I mean initially of course.

I can’t remember why Anikin turned to the darkside. I don’t think I ever really understood, to be honest.

Because HE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT PADME!!!

And because he was a gullible baby and the rest of the Jedi were incompetent.

I wouldn’t even try to remember because it doesn’t sync up with the OT. I try to do that when it comes to the new Boba Fett voice as well…keeps the lunacy at bay.

The made-for-kids cartoon character Maul wasn’t your thing eh?

He was at one point. I grew out of him around the same time I grew out of slasher films and stupid sex teen comedies.

Well, I still like the first, third, and seventh Nightmare on Elm Street films. I’m also quite fond of Black Christmas, though I don’t know if that one’s considered a true slasher or not.

I think that the obsessed prequel fans are starting to become a thing of the past. I’m not saying that people don’t still like the prequels, but the people who think that they are beautiful masterpieces and believe that the original trilogy was a prophetic follow-up to the prequels made 20 years in advance are starting to fade away.

I actually think they’ve grown in number since Disney bought Star Wars.

Yeah, I recently talked to TFA hater who thinks AOTC raises important and fascinating moral questions.

It does – just not in-universe.

“Should movies be filmed with crude digital cameras, using the shot-reverse-shot technique ad nauseum and 90% green screen?”
