Picked up Catalyst today. Hope it’s good!
I liked it fine. Not the most exciting Star Wars book, but there’s a lot of really interesting state-of-the-galaxy stuff. And Krennic is cool as hell.

MFW I found out Star Wars Celebration is in Orlando next year
Another reason why next year should be the greatest year of my life.
So I just watched ‘I Am Your Father’ (2015) and for that documentary they filmed David Prowse for his death scene. I am wondering if that scene has found its way online. Also, one of the biggest unanswered questions from the doc is whether they filmed Prowse in Jedi robes against a blue screen for the final shot of the film.
The doc itself is somewhat interesting, though there’s a lot of padding to bring it up to an hour runtime.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
“Did you ever hear of The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? … It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend.”
– Palpatine, Revenge of the Sith
What if the breath that kindl’d those grim fires
Awak’d should blow them into sevenfold rage
And plunge us in the flames? or from above
Should intermitted vengeance arm again
His red right hand to plague us?
– Milton, Paradise Lost, II.170-174
“From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!”
– Anakin Skywalker, Revenge of the Sith
Evil be thou my Good; by thee at least
Divided Empire with Heaven’s King I hold
By thee, and more then half perhaps will reign.
– Milton, Paradise Lost, IV.110-112
If only GL could write dialogue anywhere near as impressive as Milton’s. Or even hired someone who could.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
I’ve been interested in reading Paradise Lost. From the look of things, though, it’ll be as much a chore for me to understand as Shakespeare.
I always found Shakespeare truly difficult to follow when reading it, but exponentially easier to comprehend when I watched a performance (live or filmed).
In the old days there were people who thought Star Wars was too violent, but I’ve had the misfortune of crossing paths with someone in 2016 who seems to firmly believe Lucas made Star Wars as “a mindless celebration of high tech warfare” that “teaches kids war is fun”. Utter Bantha poodoo, but it’s bugging me for some reason.
Maybe their parents wouldn’t buy them any of the toys?
Where were you in '77?
Maybe they just need to see Rogue One. War is definitely not fun according to Rogue One.

My dad turned the TV off on my grandmother when the black and white Christmas episode of The Lucy Show(1962) she was watching was deemed ‘Too sinful’.
This happened tonight. The very edge of '17.

Seeking only the most natural looking colors for Star Wars '77

so you’re saying guardians of the imperial suite is a reference to storm troopers and the guardians of the whillis suite is a reference to rebels? Then what does Your Father Would be proud have to do with anything?

O you meant the soundtrack titles. Try asking again in a spoiler thread.

Oh my god Jyn is Luke’s father.

I was talking about the duration bar to the right.

Ok, I got the answer. The duration bar is a light saber. I don’t know how that’s a spoiler.
One of these days, just as a neat little experiment, I’ll make pan and scan Force Awakens and Rogue One tapes, and then marathon them with my Faces OT set.

If we only knew if that airline VHS of TFA was letterboxed or not. 😉

That Saw picture is a bald-faced lie.

That Saw picture is a bald-faced lie.
It’s the Special Edition. Edwards’ “Original Vision” for the film had a bald Saw.
;D
