I’m in the middle of this year’s 2016 Turkey Day MST3K marathon

Are you doing that in honor of the old Comedy Central marathon or did someone bring it back?

JEDIT: Never mind, I see Shout brought it back. Cool!

It’s live on YouTube all day! They’re on Space Mutiny right now. I have a feeling that Manos is next.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

Do the ring theorists specify if “You’ve taken your first step into a larger world” is supposed to rhyme with “You catch on pretty quick”? If so, does this reveal Lucas’ original intention to have Ric Ollie be the mentor figure to Anakin throughout the trilogy?

Oh God, I hope so.

Oh God, I hope so.

Humor aside, I think that Palpatine’s comments to Anakin opening his mind up to a larger world or something like that is the parallel on the timeline/in content that ring theorists believe.

My main problem with the SW Ring theory is it doesn’t have enough Nibelungs.

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

My main problem is that it doesn’t really feel like a Ring, and is more saying “This is good because these are actually references to the OT.”

Now, if the Ring Theory actually did make Star Wars into a ring, then it could be more interesting.

Seriously, if that doesn’t make you laugh so hard you can’t breathe, you might already be dead.

I’ve been dead since 2009 and I still laughed.

JEDIT STRIKES BACK: This isn’t the same old one you already know. It was just released today.

Thanks for the second JEDIT. I checked it out and was very glad I did. Hahaha

I think personally I still prefer “Bushes of Love” but I’m still not sure if the “Chicken-Duck-Woman-Thing” is supposed to be a metaphor or not.

Oh god, the seagull song. Every time I hear it it’s stuck in my head for months.

EDIT: Oh my god there are more verses now. God damn it. I guess this is my life from now on.

This could easily be a lost Devendra Banhart song.

“I’m a cad … and I’m a bane … That makes me … Cad Bane!”

“My character names just keep getting better and better.”

I still say nothing beats Darth Maul’s brother Supreme Emo, er, Savage Opress.

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

I’d say the name Cad Bane is more uninspired than outright bad. Now Dexter Jettster on the other hand is horrid on all levels.

Oh my god that was fantastic. The story of the log and the stick was my favorite.

Personally my least favourite is Lobot. It’s both uninspired, and you probably shouldn’t name a character that nowadays (though to be fair, it was written in 1978-1979…)

I kind of doubt the name was inspired by Lobotomy. I never even made that connection before. And it wasn’t even said onscreen. John Hollis is only listed in the credits as “Lando’s Aide”

Where were you in '77?

No, but it’s kind of like Jar Jar. Not supposed to be taken a certain way, but it ended up doing so anyway.

That said, I am a little thankful it wasn’t onscreen, though I have to wonder where it came from.
