To think I gave you a shout out on the OT.com twitter. ;)

Hahaha thanx for the shout out! Just went and seen it.

I don't hate it, just kinda turned me off a tad with the inconsistency and such.

Love the Han Solo part though...

Picked up the The Black Series 6 inch series Yoda. Trouble is with these smaller figures in the range as per R2-D2, the price is the same for these as it is for regular size figures. Anyway, looks pretty good. What do ya think ?

I totally forgot where I saw a custom of this and Vader just recently as I normally don't follow modern toy/custom threads. The custom ones used heads from another series, was it Hot Toys or whatever. Anyways, this Yoda was too tall and green and ugly and the custom looked perfect. They also swtiched Vader's helmet and I think R2 was completely from another series, too. The Yoda is pretty bad actually.

Edit: of course I found it immediately after this: http://toyotter.com/2015/06/use-your-brain-brainiac/

Well I had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that Lucasfilm had started uploading unaltered scenes from the Original Trilogy to Youtube. They were all in 360p quality and titled "DLC."

Really? 360p quality?!? Probably all from the GOUT.

Why am I trying to make sense of a dream?

Because you've obviously never listened to "The Brazilian" while locked in a glass coffin filled with psychoactive toads in a room painted wall-to-wall in impossible colours.

Well, that sucks. And the cover art is pretty ugly too - not as bad as the 2011 set but not great either.

Why they put one good guy on them when there's a bad guy for that movie whose actor recently died is what throws me off.

Oh, wow, I didn't even think of that. That would have been so much better to use Dooku on ep2. Also, I think Boba Fett would have been a better choice for Empire.

They look pretty bad indeed: soulless, colorful yet desaturated, cgi-ish. I was wondering... should we call it "The new Faces" set? :D

P.S.: the movies are just named after their subtitle, just like TFA should. I never actually understood this new/old trend: this will probably confuse new fans which are just approaching the franchise.

For some reason I had my hopes up for an UOT release this fall.  So much for that.  Instead of releasing the original movies that started it all, they give us... new packaging?

Wow, thanks.

Well, now we wen't have false hopes to distract us anymore, at least.

Why all the villains save for Yoda on the covers? Disney doesn't want to pay royalties to the leads?

Stupid, lame, pointless, insulting, terrible, hideous, useless kick-in-the-forehead.

Gah, I'm against *any* further copies of the prequels and SEs (especially the latest versions) being churned out and foisted on the general public...ever!  And they can only water-down any anticipation newbies have for the new movie with such a close release to it, as far as I'm concerned!

Mind you, if the laughably-worded 'selling point' of '...more than 40 hours of previously-released extensive special features' actually includes HD versions of the prequel 'deleted' scenes, then it'll be a must-buy for the fan editors at least! :)

(but they'll probably just be SD quality again, if included at all)

The problem, to my mind, is not the presence of the current SEs on home video, but rather the enforced *absence* of all the editions that came before it.
