I don't know what is sadder, the tiny SW section at Toy R' Us these days, or the fact I had to explain to employees what a Viewmaster is.
Odd. I thought they still made those things.

They do.
Where were you in '77?
I have nothing to add to this.
I would add several punches and plenty kicks in the groin, but that's just me.
One of the great joys I had in making TRM was having that pit droid kick him in the nuts multiple times.

Frankly, he looks like he's enjoying it.

Thank you for dragging the thread back on-topic Bingo.
Gee-wiz thanks pop :-D
I could have sworn somebody around here used that for an icon several years ago.
Jar Jar is kind of cute when he's not talking, or bumping into things, or helping Palpatine get emergency powers.

I'm surprised no one's ever brought up just how small Gungan brains appear to be relative to the rest of their body. Seriously, in the real world, a creature with a skull that small* would probably have the intelligence of a monkey at most.
*Of course, it's possible their brain isn't actually located within their skull but in some other unseen location in the body, in which case never mind ...
If the brain was located in the feet I can see why Jar Jar seemed so slow-witted.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Gungan skulls don't appear to be significantly smaller than humans. And Jar Jar has a bigger head than Yoda.
There are aliens in SF literature where the brain isn't in the usual place though.

Look to the intelligence crows and rethink your theory.
Does Lobot = lobotomy?
Originally, yes.

So the Clone troopers in Ep 3 are amazingly accurate shooters even with tank weaponry, but by the time of Ep 4 they can barely aim. I guess once Jango died they had to start cloning off of clones, and eventually they all became retarded.
That’s impossible, even for a computer.
Clone troopers don't exist, so don't worry about it ;-)
In Episode 1 Yoda is a Creepy Puppet, in 2 and 3 he's a hologram, and in 5 and 6 he's a good puppet.

I've heard various explanations for this. One is the Empire is using mostly conscripts in the OT, and their training isn't as good as what the Clones got.
Or they are all non-Jango clones, and not up to snuff.
Thirdly, the Empire went with the low bidder either on the blasters or the armor. Even Luke complains he can't see out of his helmet. ;)

Probably already posted, but the archive of Starlog Magazine is up at https://archive.org/details/starlogmagazine. Interesting old SW and Star Trek articles in the old issues worth some reads.
Yep. ;)

Were the different colors of Imperial uniforms intended to mean anything?
Proof that I have too much time on my hands (or perhaps not enough time but too many hands).

I wonder what the saga would look like if Lucas decided to make a prequel in 1980 instead of making ESB.
Well, we wouldn't have ESB, which would suck, but we would have a better prequel in terms of story. It would have been nice if he made the prequels right after the OT though, before George had a chance to change too much.
