TOO BAD THERES NO OTHER INFO IN THAT STORY

IT’S NOT A STORY.
It’s a press release.
And a weird one, given that what would appear to be huge and surprising news is buried at the bottom of some mundane shiznit…

I wouldn’t really call it “huge”, honestly. Netflix is the number one video streaming service. It just makes sense for them to be on there.

Only for Netflix US, is it? So, the Great White North continues to get the shaft?

What a bunch of hosers, eh?

Media regions and all that stuff really makes no freaking sense in a globalized/connected world like the one we live in.

That said, I’m really jazzed for the deal!

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I guess I would just expect Netflix to tout it on a much bigger scale, like nyah, nyah Hulu, look what we got. Disney is a pretty big fish to hook

Wouldn’t it be cool if they got their act together and put up the Ewok movies and the Ewoks and Droids animated series?

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I think we’ll get at least 6 out of the 7 films on there.

I’ll be surprised if any of the Star Wars films make it on there, but ANH is definitely not going to be there. I wonder how Indiana Jones’ distribution deal works. We haven’t had a new release of those since the buyout.

There hasn’t been much need/demand for a new Indy release.

But they are making one.

Oh, right. Yeah, that’s probably because they got it right the first time. No “The Swordsman Shot First” bullshit or anything.

There’s still digital alterations in Raiders. At the very least they removed the guiding rod for the boulder and they erased the reflection on the Plexiglas between Harrison Ford and the cobra.

…Thanks for ruining the movies for me.

Yeah but that’s the kind of shit that I would never have noticed in a million years or cared about in the slightest. Not CGI Jabba, let alone Greedo shooting, let alone Jedi Rocks level stuff. If that’s all that they did to Star Wars (i.e. clean up obvious mistakes without affecting the story or distracting the viewer) I would have been totally fine with it.

I COULD NOT. BEING A COMPUTER VIRUS, I PREFER UNWANTED MODIFICATIONS BE AS DEVASTATING AND IRREPAIRABLE AS POSSIBLE.

The absence of the reflection is very noticeable as it was quite prominent in the film originally.
