Terminator Genisys trailer is spoilers.
It certainly spoiled my desire to ever watch the movie.
But I digress. . . .
It really depends on the trailer.
Terminator Genisys trailer is spoilers.
TFA teaser is not.
Hopefully people exercise good judgement about the TLJ trailer.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

My take: if it’s official promotional material, it’s not a spoiler in the classic sense. If trailers were to count as spoilers, we’d have:
The Official Rogue One Spoiler Thread
The Official Rogue One Non-Spoiler Thread
The Offical Rogue One Trailer Thread…the last one being for people who want to discuss the official trailer without being exposed to real spoilers and leaks, while not revealing trailer content to people who don’t want to see it.
That would be silly.
Trailers aren’t spoilers. Consider that official forum policy if it will end the debate and let people get back to discussing the movie.
If you don’t want to know anything about a movie you don’t belong in a thread about that movie.
I meant more other threads. I don’t have a problem avoiding the spoiler thread and even this one. I just don’t want to visit say the random pictures thread and see an image from the movie. That shit annoys me.
I know some people don’t care, but I like going into a movie having seen/known as little as possible. I don’t need to be sold on something I’m already sold on.
Oh yeah, ALL TLJ talk should be restricted to either of these threads until the film is out.
Let’s hope everyone sees it that way.
Meanwhile, I picked up my tickets. Just going to be standard 2D 7:00 for me. Double features were about $40. Same for the fan event. Not worth it.

Managed to score tickets for the first full screen IMAX showing here! Right in the perfect row too!
For some reason I like to hold off on IMAX for a later date - I honestly didn’t even check my IMAX options (and where I live, there are quite a few). I probably could have got something good too. When I bought my tickets, the site didn’t crash or anything, and maybe only one or two people had gotten there before me, which meant I snagged the best seats in the house. Wonder if the putting the tickets up before they were supposed to had anything to do with that.
Love the poster.
Yeah I lucked out a bit. I was only refreshing every other minute or so, managed to catch it right after it went up. Someone had already bought out the row above what I consider the best row while my favorite seats were wide open!
Lots of cool stuff there, but…

JEDIT: Too late.
Too late. This prevert has spoken.
[JEDIT]
Frink beat me to the announcement of too lateness.

Anyone who posts spoilers will have to answer to the Coca-Cola Company.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
I’d rather you be a deviated pervert than a deviated septum.
I’m booked for the midnight showing on the 14th here in the UK.

Pay attention, he said he’s a prevert.
So does anyone have any solid info about how much of the film was shot on 70mm IMAX film? Also, has anyone found a list of which imax theaters in the U.S. will be showing what version? I found a list naming the 10 theaters that will show it on true imax film projection, but there’s a full sized imax laser that is SO much closer to me. As much as I’d love to see it on imax film (like I did for TFA) I’d be happy to settle on the imax laser experience if I know I’m getting the full image (some imax laser shows open up to the full frame equaling the 70mm film projection, while others only open up to the same size image as “liemax” digital shows which are still cropped vertically compared to 70mm imax film. The parts shot on 35mm will always be shown in scope, no matter which theater you’re in).
I saw Dunkirk on the full size imax laser and as much as it pains me to admit (because I’m a big nerd who loves the actual medium of film), I’d have a hard time telling the difference between it and imax film. It was really good.
I seem to remember a while back I said that trailers should be considered spoilers and everyone yelled at me and said I was stupid so
Hey, I agreed with you.

Well yeah but that’s kind of a given.

I’m not sure why you felt the need to link to a political discussion.
Probably wasn’t very easy to find an example of him disagreeing with you, (or “not agreeing” isactually more what I was saying)
But it’s okay. He’s a good fellow
