Rian Johnson is great, I have high hopes for Episode 8.

Good horror movie, starring Tony Todd as the boogeyman, with a beautiful Philip Glass score. Not a classic but an interesting horror flick.

The charge comes from Adam Driver, so they aren’t “preempting” anything. The only way Rian could preempt the “inevitable ESB rip-off complaints” is that his movie would not be a ESB rip-off 😃

JJ alluded to the next installments being original but that was a while ago and he didn’t outright say that VIII and IX were original.

I think Kylo should get himself a nice suit of armor (more Malgus than Vader but more lightweight) and ditch his robes for possible future events that involve him being shot by Chewie.

I’d really like to see the “Luke & Leia” theme from ROTJ dusted off for their inevitable reunion, the way we got a handful of instances of the love theme from ESB in TFA. It would be a nice consolation for the sad fact that we’re not likely to hear that love theme ever again.

I suspect we may get a title for this soon. IIRC, the title and first teaser for TFA were released thanksgiving week 2014, just under 13 months before the film. I’m positive Disney won’t want to drop a trailer before Rogue One is out, but I’m hopeful about the title.
