Haha that Rick Roll was good. Well played.

got it. Its still visible on youtube. Was it just taken down here?
I can't bring myself to go watch a movie just to see a JJ Abrams trailer. I did that in 1998 for Episode 1 directed by George Lucas. It was fun, theater hopping across multiple theaters to see the trailer and then leaving without bothering with the movie (it was The Waterboy).
Also later that same day the Episode 1 teaser was on the internet and ready to download thanks to cam copies. Anyways I know the new trailer is Star Wars but its just not the same for me.

Hey, if you don't like it, go to Russia!
Best fan made trailer I've seen so far. And they snuck Lando in there. :)

I think they were talking about the real leaked teaser, but this is an interesting watch as well. :-)

Also, they showed it on ET the night before, so if you knew about it in advance you could just set your vcr to record it. Sure, it was cropped a little to fill up more of the 4:3 TV frame just as most movie trailers and ads were in those days, but it was the highest quality you could watch it in short of seeing it in the theater.
Was the TPM teaser officially uploaded the same day it hit theaters with Meet Joe Black or did Lucasfilm wait until later? I was technologically illiterate back in those days and probably wasn't even aware of the concept of downloading movie trailers. The irony is that we had a 180 MHz Mac Performa (from '96) and a dial-up connection, so I probably could've QuickTime downloaded it if I knew what I was doing. It probably would've taken forever though, and I was busy with 8th grade. TV was much more "immediate."
I don't know when exactly it was posted, but I do remember downloading the TPM trailer the evening it was officially made available online. I'm pretty sure the download went live sometime in the late afternoon/early evening (or maybe that's just when I was able to start it after I got home from school) and it took HOURS on our dial up. And I'm pretty sure we had the fastest dial-up available at that time. I just remember I kept going to check on it during dinner, and had banned anyone from touching the computer until it was done. I remember just sitting there watching the progress bar and watching this little 13 inch tv we had near the computer on a side table to kill time while I waited. (on a side note, how funny is it to think we actually put a tv next to our computer desk to kill time because it took so long to do anything on the internet back then!).

But you others do get to see the actual film before us US people though.

Really? Well that's not fair either.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Hardly what I would say a fair trade.
More rumors regarding the teasers. According to some tweets, there are going to be three different versions of the teaser. One 60 second version is supposedly going to play tomorrow during the NFL game. And there are two different teasers that will play at theaters this weekend. I'm assuming they'll both be 88 seconds (is this a possible reference to IG-88?). Rumor also says some "pricey" news is going to drop later today. We'll see.

Will it be free?
Confirmed online Friday at Star Wars Facebook.
Hmm...not sure if I am as moved to go to the theatres to see a trailer that will be released online the same day.
And I greatly apologize for the offensive comment I had made above, should have never said something that stupid.
The idea is to get people to see BIG HERO 6 and the other Disney flicks. So, I think it's going to be an alternate trailer. That would make sense.
Remember, Highlander, you’ve both still got your full measure of life. Use it well, and your future will be glorious.

Which comment? I see no offensive comment in the past two pages....
This calls for a song! ;)

You're a monster.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
