A little rumor roundup:

John Boyega will play a character much like Luke in the OT. He will not be a Jedi, but will be introduced to the greater Star Wars universe. The main plot of the ST will revolve around his character much the same as Luke in the OT.

We have the persistent rumors of Jedi Hunters. The most likely scenario is that Luke Skywalker has at least started to rebuild the Jedi Order. The Jedi Hunters have started hunting down and killing those new Jedi.

Another persistent roumor is the Jedi Hunters are most likely Dark Jedi being led by a single individual bent on destroying the Jedi and building a new Sith Empire.

Most recently the Mandalorians will factor heavily into the ST.

Oh yeah and Tom Cruise will play an Ewok!

I have never seen John Boyega in any movies, so I will have to check out some of his previous work.  I really like the early plot rumors, as I am looking forward to the 'multiple' Jedi Hunters compared to always 1 or 2 bad guys from the PT/OT.

NO TOM CRUISE!  I hope this rumor is as false at the N'Sync being in Episode II rumor!!!

If they're just going to stick to the boring KISS-reject-with-a-red-lightsaber look for these hypothetical Jedi hunters, then I'd rather see a bunch of rapping Gungan strippers as the villains.

I believe they did film several members of N'sync for episode II, just didn't use the footage.

^^I hope those rumours have more than a grain of truth in them. The ST needs to have complex villains/anti-heroes or else we're just going back into PT mode all over again.

IGN just posted that the film release may be delayed due to the injury.  To be honest I never liked the December release date, Star Wars films should always be out in May.

Once they shoot all they can without Harrison, they would probably have to shut down for a time until he's better in any scenario. The delay might benefit the effects side of things.

Is it wrong that I can hear Servo singing this in my head?

Which brings me to something that I love about TCW: that it reveals that Maul's KISS-reject look comes from him being a Nightbrother, not from him being a Sith.

I'm pretty sure they actually changed that so all of the new Saga movies will be released in December.  I very much doubt that IGN's article has any truth to it in terms of the release being delayed.

The movie theater is my church and my holy trinity is a Trilogy.

That's been an aspect of it from the very beginning though. Eeth Koth, another Zabrak and a member of the Jedi council itself also sported facial tattoos:

Andy Serkis to play a Mo-Cap character:

http://www.scifinow.co.uk/news/star-wars-7-exclusive-andy-serkis-talks-script-jj-abrams-more/

“It’s extraordinary. I grew up with Star Wars and was a massive fan of the original films. I never imagined in a million years that I’d be engaging with this. It’s just come about so organically.

“JJ Abrams and I met, and we just had this incredible kind of vibe between us. He said, ‘You’d fit really well in this universe,’ and I said, ‘I think I probably could.’ We’re working very closely, as I say, in two ways: the Imaginarium is providing all of the performance characters, and I myself am playing a character in it.

“I’m thrilled, deeply excited,” he continued. “Sitting at that read-through the other day was just extraordinary. It was an amazing event; being with the original cast was just incredible. I just think the script is so wonderful, and both the old and the newbies in the cast are just so thrilled and excited to get together.”

Hopefully he plays some sort of artificial intelligence-thingy that exists only as a digital projection and not something that's supposed to be flesh and blood.

CGI has come long way since the prequels, and Serkis brings a lot to the table. If it's a character that couldn't possibly be done as a man in suit, I'm okay with that.

The Imaginarium?  As in Disney Imaginarium?  So his character may be a practical puppet?

Is Episode 7 supposed to be just a big ad for that Jim Henson Creature shop show on syfy channel?

They've been around decades before that show even existed. Would you rather they reassemble the ILM creature shop? ;)

Henson was experimenting with digital puppets in the 80's, so it could be a still be a CGI character.

Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd Joins 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

No details were given for Billie Lourd's role in 'Star Wars 7', although it's possible that the daughter of Carrie Fisher may only have a cameo.

Billie Lourd, the daughter of Carrie Fisher and Creative Artists Agency chairman Bryan Lourd, has joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII.

Latino Review's report does not reveal which character she may be playing, but it may be just a cameo appearance. The 21-year-old Billie Lourd does not have any acting credits to her name, so if this report is true, she will be making her feature film debut in the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII, which is set 30 years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

It's worth noting that the Star Wars: Episode VII script, co-written by director J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, reportedly features the offspring of Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), so it's possible that Billie Lourd may be playing Princess Leia's daughter. Naturally, that has not been confirmed, but stay tuned for more updates as Star Wars: Episode VII continues production in London.
