I’m all for making ROTJ more nasty but I would do it by adding more gore to the Ewok’s camp. Showing dead and partially eaten stormtroopers etc.

Oh and hopefully somebody with the FX skills can overlay a baseball-bat onto Luke’s Saber in the Ridiculous Jedi edit… complete with wooden soundFX!

Had a silly thought yesterday about Yoda dying multiple times, re materializing each time.
His last words to Luke become more nonsensical, finally culminating in “Beware the dwarf.”

I have an idea:
Luke does not unmask Vader and drags him off the shuttle and leaves him behind
Death Star II explodes too early and killed the rebels inside the Falcon
When Luke jumps off the plank and into the sarlacc pit, he fails to grab the plank and falls to his death
The Emperor does not die and Luke gets killed Obi-Wan style
Wilhelm scream for every person falling

Yep, appears as a force ghost. But those are suggestions of alternate ending.
A bit goofy but will work, At the moment when Luke is about to get his Lightsaber, He does an awkardly stare with the Emperor while it cuts to Lando, then cuts back to again, staring till Luke gets his saber.

I’ve restrained myself from using a laugh track because it’s too easy (I believe the one time I used it in TRM is the only time I’ve used it) but that fits pretty great.

Bingowings’s “Cooked by Ewoks” comment in Adywan’s thread had me thinking for an alternate ending:
Remove the Ewok capture/BBQ scene from earlier on. Add it into the ending celebration with yubnub, such that the party escalates rather darkly. End on the pan up from the funeral pyre (in a way that doesn’t clearly show Vader). Sky/fireworks/wipe to credits.
