Ha, I like the Blues Brothers idea.
Ha, I like the Blues Brothers idea.
Is there maybe a way to have them receive it on the ship? That way it would be clearer it’s meant to be the signal and not just background music.
Good idea, I can have it play on the ship when they first discuss the coded message.
Time for a cutaway to that ceiling speaker from Star Trek II again. 😉

Ha, I like the Blues Brothers idea.
Aren’t they in the Order 66 montage though?

I think you’re thinking of the “You’re the Best Around” montage at the beginning. And they survive.
You’re right. My bad!

I downloaded the free trial of Spectralayers and spent a few hours messing with it this afternoon. It’s not very user-friendly at first but I’m slowly getting the hang of it. Here’s a test where I removed the imperial saying “fire” at 5 seconds into the clip. The original clip is first, followed by the clip with the removed line.
(the free trial does not allow exporting, so I had to record the results with audacity, and I think the audio quality will be better with the paid version)
Yoda could be contacted by Ric from the Netherlands.
I don’t know who that is.
In the current release Yoda claims that an old friend has contacted him from the netherworld
So having him contacted from the Netherlands instead would be amusing… It’s sort of a joke… Funny thing
I thought you could just have Qui Gon’s ghost droning on and on as Yoda snores, only to be awakened by Bail? Maybe use the speech from the Taken movies? Substitute “little learner” for “daughter”?

Oh god, how did I not think of Yoda snoring there. Probably because I haven’t gotten there yet, but still!
I’ve reached the part in the movie where Obi-Wan watches something in the security hologram (“Obi-Wan can’t watch any more!”). Vote on your favorite ideas of what he’s watching:
-Obi jumps too far over the other side of the platform (from TRM)
-Obi jumps out the window, misses the assassin droid, and falls (from AOTR)
-Obi looks at Obi (similar to Spaceballs)
-Love scene from The Room, complete with gigantic TV version black bars covering naughty bits
-Holiday Special footage
-Write-in vote (feel free to suggest additional ideas)
You can vote for as many of these as you like.
Three-way tie between #3, #4, & #5 for me.
Alec Guinness on Michael Parkinson moaning about the script.
I vote Holiday Special footage, something extremely strange like Diane Carol or Bea Arthur’s scenes

Evil Jar Jar Binks, from Robot Chicken, at 1:28.
https://youtu.be/5qAKXK_aLeA
It’s short, it’s sweet, and ties in nicely with all the “Jar Jar was a sith behind everything in the prequels” insanity that’s been making the rounds lately. It also justifies his fate in the funeral scene.
JEDIT:Use dialog from that episode of The Simpsons with the evil Krusty the Clown doll?

Either The Room or the Holiday Special.

As there is already a heavily censored sex scene in the movie with one of Anakin’s nightmares, the joke might not be as funny the second time?
Unless someone can put a clone trooper helmet on Tommy Wiseau’s head? 😃
The horrors of The Holiday Special probably should be saved for the Ridiculous Original Trilogy.

Agreed on the sex scene
I think misc. holiday special footage should be randomly sprinkled throughout the series though

Plus even partially nude Tommy Wiseau can cause blindness. 😉

Obi Wan should be watching “Light the Sky on Fire” by Jefferson Starship.
Presuming they were lip syncing for the HS, the song could be taken from a better stereo source.

In the AOTC blooper reel there is a clip where Hayden is on the refugee ship set with Nat Portman. He burns his lip on the soup and says, “Ow that’s hot!” You might be able to extract it and use if for when he is on fire.
