I'm doing the audio after the video. And I see the flash frames too, I think it has to do with the Vegas encoder because I don't see them in the timeline.

I use Vegas also, if you download an AVI codec pack (no not the Virus filled one/s) it shouldnt flicker, atleast it doesnt for me.

Ha, that would be appropriate.
You could work REALLY hard on it and release it NEXT April 1. ;-)

Ok, initial release date April 1, 2012.
Little bonus clip...
I know most of my comments consist of laughing, but SERIOUSLY, my wife is sick and trying to sleep, stop making me watch that video over and over and over, my uncontrollable laughter is going to wake her up!TV's Frink said:

So, are you just skipping around when you think of something funny? I would advice otherwise, but that may be a good thing. Create strong funny moments where you know you can, then fill in the rest as you start wearing yourself down, instead of starting at the beginning and having all of the jokes there that by the time you get to Coruscant, you'll wish you were dead and only have half a movie.

Oscar Nominee Sofia Coppola should get star billing.
Yep, I'm skipping around as I think of stuff. Though I have several gags I've thought of that I haven't had time to get to yet.
If I wear down I'll take a break. I'm not going to make the mistake of putting a time limit on this. And I'm having too much fun right now anyway.
Are you gonna include a Cutlist for this project too? ;)

Hell no!
Have this play whenever a character wins a battle/duel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgZ4j9EQ22k

This is probably more easily recognised.
Yeah, nice idea, but most people would never recognize one from DKC2. :p The Final Fantasy one is pretty well known, though. Here's the one from FFVII: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YCN-a0NsNk&feature=related
Could have the pre-boss battle music from the Mega Man games before a fight, too.

Fink, you've finally found a creative outlet for your humourous urges! :D
Seriously, though this is fantastic. Love the clips.
Also, with regards to Obi Wan falling, don't change it. There is a sort of philosophy that early Simpsons writers went by, that Family Guy later copied first--if something is funny, repeat it until it's no longer funny, and then keep repeating it and it becomes funny again, only moreso. An example is Sideshow Bob stepping on the rakes and grumbling. Funny the first two or three times, then after the fourth it becomes played and you want it to stop, but then after the seventh it becomes so ridiculous that it's funnier than ever, and by the ninth time in a row it happens it's utterly genious. Family Guy did this less successfully (like when Peter stubs his shin and goes "sshhh...ahhhh!!" a million times), but I thought the Obi Wan clip was good and also parodies how ridiculous it is that in the actual film he really does fall an unrealistic amount of height. I thought maybe you would have one of him jumping up and up and up to get back to Maul! :p
Anyway, good stuff!
OW! quit it...

Thanks zombie.
Ok, here's a fairly complete version of the duel:

The audio was very tough...Star Wars audio is notoriously hard to work with, as the various effects and music are spread around all channels. Plus I have the added problem of working with a much longer version of the scene, so I had to reuse music in several places. I'm not entirely happy with it, but I spent a ton of time on it and I'm not sure I can make it work much better. If nothing else, I will put it aside and come back to it later.
Fast forwarding a little bit, might you use this sound effect when Qui-Gon gets killed?
“It’s a lot of fun… it’s a lot of fun to watch Star Wars.” – Bill Moyers
It might be fun if the Senate could remote view the duel and provide crowd reactions (laughter track, cheering etc).
John Williams could be edited into the Senate to provide the soundtrack.
Heck, they could be in on the whole Naboo fight
