Do you Fast Forward?

I find that I can't watch RotJ without fast forwarding. I watch the opening crawl, then fast forward to the beginning of the sail barge scene. From here I let it play out until Yoda's death and then skip to the Emperor arriving on the Death Star. After this, I view until the end of the speeder bike chase, and then it's on to more fast forwarding until Luke meets Vader on the forest moon. I completely skip all planet scenes from here on -- except the shield generator explosion. After the death star explodes, I skip to the funeral scene and end the movie just as the camera pans up to the sky.

I don't fast forward through any of Star Wars or TESB.

What are your fast forwarding routines?

I seem to have gotten that scene confused with the rendezvous scene then.

I actually watch the ROTJ without fast-fowarding. Guess that makes me a masochist.

Over the years I either watch the full film or skip to my favourite bits. These would be:

Star Wars - none. I always watch the full film.

Empire - Hoth battle + Asteroids (my favourite and most watched scenes in the entire saga)

Jedi - Sarlaac then forward to "It's a trap" and following battles.

Menace - Pod race.

Clones - Asteroids (which are quite poor compared to those in Empire IMO), Execution arena followed by the clones arrival and pursuit of Dooku.

Sith - The opening battle.

I skip the crawls on all of the movies, most times.

I always fast-forward to Episode IV when I watch all six.

But then how do you know what is going on?

Ric Olie is there explaining it to him.

I have always made it a rule for me if I am going to sit down and watch a DVD, I will never fast forward through any scene.

Although when I watch the Prequels, I do start fast forwarding once the opening crawl appears on screen, and continue fast forwarding until the ending credits come up. :)

Really?  I always watch the end credits on any movie I watch.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I always watch the end credits in the theater.  Rarely at Sluggo Central.

Same here, I don't even understand why someone would want to watch a movie and then skip parts in it. I never fast forward anything, except if I watch TV series and there's a flashback episode.

And I also always watch end credits, except in theaters (in that case, except if there isn't any clips after the credits that I know of). Well, not always watch but listen to the score.

Me too. At the movie theater, also. I like to see the peoples' names, locations, song titles, etc.

With the OT, I love the end credit music- to me it would be like missing part of the movie not to watch all the way thru the credits...& no, I don't FF>> ;-)

I only watch the one film, and I never skip any of it.   That said, I haven't watched it since 2006, so it's not something I'm ever worn out on.

Wow, I think everyone misunderstood what I was saying.  Let me try again...

Got it.

I don't fast-forward any of it... but I did enjoy your jokes about FF'ing the prequels.  I just 'skip' them altogether.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Rewrite the Prequels!
