I’ve read he whole trilogy and they’re pretty good, but now it’s been revamped with a new author and storyline! Is it a good revamp, or is it not as good the original?

Are you talking about I, Jedi by Michael Stackpole? That’s the only novel I know of which relates some of the events from the Jedi Academy Trilogy from a different perspective.

To be fair, I read the old Jedi Academy series (the ones with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon and the ones with Anakin and Obi-Wan) and enjoyed them as silly guilty pleasures.
There’s a new Jedi Academy (Or is it Jedi Apprentice…) comic series out that feels in the same vein as the old books, and it’s actually pretty good as well.
