I'm not saying I take issue with Lando in Jedi. I'm saying that some people do (because he betrayed his friends); again regardless of that he was the one flying the Falcon off to find Han at the end of Empire.
So, again, if the Ewoks, Boba Fett's death and Lando aren't considered as the main issue, then I'm not sure what would be.

What has Lando got to be forgiven for again?
He borrowed Han's clothes and probably didn't wash them. ;)

As Leia is wearing her old outfit at the end of Empire, I sure hope it's been washed since that little side trip to the trash compactor! ;)

For the record: ROTJ is my favorite of the three.
Here are some ROTJ complaints I hear every now and then. They're listed in no particular order. They don't reflect my opinions and the italicized remarks are added for emphasis... or something.
1. Second DEATH STAR: El-cheapo, Georgo!
2. Reusing some special-effects shots from IV and V: Lazy Lucas, was lazy.
3. Leia is Luke's sister: Oh, no! It's a shrinking universe!!!
4. Yub Nub: Not epic enough, dude. Like, totally!
5. The plan to rescue Han made no sense and would have resulted in giving Chewbacca, C-3PO, and R2-D2 to Jabba the Hutt for free if everything didn't go 100% as planned.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I was joking. I know he didn't actually take Han's clothes - they're standard fare for Corellians.
I think every time I try to make a joke results in being corrected with a literal response.
“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”

Um, correction: you are not corrected every time with a literal response. This is clearly an exaggeration, don't you think?

This, with a few exceptions...
1. Ewoks, Ewoks, Ewoks – I like the role they play in the story, so I don't hate the idea here, but they look SO FAKE! And the physical comedy is just embarrassing.
12. Threepio – The article says that Han & Co. bring him along for no reason, but this isn't true. He's a translator and he proves himself very useful.
14. Luke – I totally disagree with the article here. Mark Hamil is the best thing in Jedi.
15. Surprise! They’re Brother and Sister! - It's a horrible plot device, but the talk of "sexually charged scenes" in the previous two movies is bullshit. She kissed Luke in ANH "for luck" she kisses him in Empire to make Han jealous and neither scene is remotely "sexually charged". Anybody who watches the films and sees a "love triangle" situation probably doesn't do to well with the ladies. It's clear from the shoot out in the cell block on that Leia has no interest in Luke and finds Han very attractive.
20. Boba Fett’s Death – I said earlier that i have no problem with Fett's death. What I should have said was "I have no problem with Fett dying." I do however find his "comedic" death terribly stupid and embarrassing.
35. Vader’s Real Face – Love Sebastian. The article is wrong on this one. Just plain old wrong.
49. The WIZARD OF OZ Homage at Jabba’s Front Door – I've never bought this idea. It's always seemed to me to be referencing North American speakeasys during prohibition. Give the secret knock, the little window slides open and an eye peers out to make sure you're recognized and have the password. ROTJ has a very cool sci-fi take on that.
Other things that the article doesn't point out is the SE song and dance in Jabbas palace and "Yub-Nub". Again, just embarrassing.
I've used the word "embarrassing" several times here. But it's these moments that make me realize that I don't want anybody who hasn't seen Star Wars to pop in Jedi saying "Ray has turned me on to other good movies, I'll give this a spin!"
I do like Jedi, but it's very flawed.

So, ALL Corellians wear the same thing? Lame. I've always assumed that they were in fact Hans clothes. Lando didn't have time to pack a bag before fleeing the city, so it makes sense that he would go through Hans closet for something clean to wear.
Yeah, I don't agree with all of those reasons either, I just wanted to post this to show that there are many more things that people find to be wrong with ROTJ than just Ewoks and Boba's death. And you also have to consider that it's written a bit tongue-in-cheek, so the stuff like "sexually charged scenes" is probably meant as a bit of a hyperbole to make a point that it's just a bad idea to make Leia Luke's sister.

Yeah, you're right. But I hear this kind of thing quite a bit. "EEEW! Luke was all makin' out with his SISTER!!" Which never happened... I mean, yeah it's a bit awkward that Luke obviously thought she was hot, but... she was. So there :P
Well the fact that Luke and Leia were siblings was not written into the story yet when ANH and ESB were filmed.
who knows, maybe the sequels could be okay, but I doubt they will hold a candle to ANH or ESB.
Well, Return of the Jedi (the original version; THANKS, HARMY!) is my favorite Star Wars film.
Those 50 reasons why ROTJ sucks feel like someone had too much time on their hands and just felt like bitching about something.
And such people who hate on Jedi, yet laude Star Wars and Empire as though the latter are so totally better... they never point out things like 1) why the stormtroopers don't check for droids behind locked doors; 2) how Ponda Baba's flipper isn't hairy nor fingered and shouldn't be able to shoot a gun; 3) how caves in asteroids have Earth-like gravity; 4) how Han and Leia should have expected a vacuum in the asteroid's "cave" and yet only had small oxygen masks on their lower face; among other things.
I like the OOT. I want to enjoy them. Sure, they should be open to criticism, but I'm not sure how whining and bitching about them, as that article does, does anything to improve the viewing experience. That is to say, I would probably never watch a Rifftrax of the OOT, because I would likely from that point on always hear their bitching at it in the back of my mind.
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
Somewhere in this documentary (too lazy to link to the exact moment), Kershner describes ESB as a fairy tale and admits that there are a number of scientifically inaccurate elements.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aS-HIgvANE"
I've pointed out many of these elements in my Armchair Movie Critic thread in the Off Topic section, but my criticisms were tongue in cheek. All three movies could be torn to bits if someone just felt like whining. But the point is that they are all fairy tales, and folks who criticize ROTJ for certain flaws should use the same standards for ANH and ESB.
ROTJ is a good movie in my mind. I don't mind others disagreeing, and I see flaws with it as well, but I still love it. Opinions can differ from person to person, and we are not all idiots simply because we don't all think alike. I get really tired of people who tell me I'm stupid for enjoying ROTJ, or even for enjoying the PT.
I don't enjoy the theatrical prequels. Mind you, they're okay. They're not good compared to the OOT, but they are fairly decent on their own.
I do, however, very much enjoy certain prequel fan edits. They have to be done properly so that they can likely pass for official (ie. not obviously edited by an amateur), but I do very much like Q2's trilogy, L8wrtr's 1 and 2, and Kerr's 3.
Suffice it to say that there are good films in there. It just takes a good editor to bring them out.

Growing up ROTJ was my favorite but nowadays the theatrical SW77 is the place to be.
That article is so damn old, it originally appeared in a magazine. (Remember printed media?) Surprised nobody has exhumed the Norman Spinrad review Starlog probably wished they hadn't run. (Back when people actually had to lick a stamp to vent their spleen.) They later ran a cartoon of Mr. Spinrad entombed in carbonite.
Anyway, when is Disney going to do something more compelling than issuing press releases, and pink slipping Lucasfilm employees?

It does point those two out, it just doesn't judge the quality of the SE addition due to the article being written before the Special Edition was actually out.
I found myself agreeing on most points of that article and laughing pretty hard the first time I read it. ROTJ sucks... search your feelings, you know it to be true. ;)
We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Interesting to notice that despite surviving several shutdown attempts by Lucasfilm, the Disney Lawyers seemed to have finally defeated supershadow.com.
It's truly the end of an error :-D
The domain appears to be for sale. That could mean anything from SS finally got bored with the whole thing, to real life taking precedent. I would think Disney would buy it outright and sit on it forever.
I think LucasFilm took the site more seriously than the fandom ever did. Anybody who thought the site was legit would probably be interested in purchasing some lovely Florida property I have.

Like a dark phoenix*, SuperShadow will rise again.
*No, not that Dark Phoenix.
