IDK. The whole damn thing is so absurd, so why not?
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

These might be worse than the prequels.
I would be more worried about people overdosing on Star Wars but the Marvel/Avengers thing seems to be still doing well so who can tell?
People have such short attention spans nowadays that the annual dose may be in the franchise's best interests.
All I really want is each film as it was originally seen and heard in theaters; no fixes, corrections, "improvements" or modifications necessary.

Do they really? There was four years between the last two Bond flicks, and it's not as if people forgot who he was.
It will be 13 years since the last Star Wars movie, and I think people recall the basic plot.

2015 - 2005 = 13 years???
Was this Kennedy interview posted yet? Nothing new, but something.

I'm looking at the bright side. You can't fault me for that.TheBoost said:

What I don't understand is how this is news. They said they were going to do yearly releases a while ago.
The next few years should be interesting. I think Episode VII has a decent chance of being good. The fact that Lawrence Kasdan is writing one of the non-episode scripts and consulting for the big features is a good sign too. So I think the first few films will be of a certain quality.
If they can maintain that quality over the years is an entirely different question. Should be interesting if they get to the point of adapting the books and comics as George suggested when the announcement was made.

And a good chance of being decent. :)
chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.
I wonder if all these planned films will be live-action.
Good question. If there were some animated films in the works, which division would make them? Disney and Pixar probably have their own projects mapped out for the next decade or so.
With all the stuff Disney has shut down, they seem to not have decided the final fate of the Lucasfilm Animation studio in Singapore yet.
Where were you in '77?
The sequel films will most likely fall in the middle. The prequels are too incompetently made to be topped by Disney. At best they will be on the same level as ROTJ.
I love ROTJ, so that's a good thing. The Ewoks and Boba Fett's death never bothered me at all.

Michael Jackson is forever entwined with Star Wars and Disney in my brain.

Me neither, but those two things are hardly what's wrong with ROTJ...

Precisely. I too love ROTJ but there are things wrong with it. Everyone surviving is something that has always nagged me, amongst others.
er...
They are awful as currently depicted.
Where did those traps spring from for example and the goofy humour is proto Jar-Jar.
And lets not forget.

A bittersweet ending might have been better (although, for Luke it was somewhat bittersweet until he saw his father's force ghost).
But at the end of the day, I like having a happy ending.
...I thought Boba Fett's death and the Ewoks were what most people complain about. If that's not "hardly what's wrong with ROTJ," then what is exactly? I suppose there is also that Lando was forgiven, but then it's not inexplicable given that Leia and Chewie let Lando take the Falcon (though Chewie copiloted) at the end of Empire.

What has Lando got to be forgiven for again?
He protected a whole city of people at the cost of nobody dying.
All he got was choked by the good guys more than the bad guys.
How soon people forget Lando was responsible for the lives of all the workers and their families on Cloud City.
And what about the Ugnaughts? Won't someone think of the Ugnaughts?
Oh yeah, and Ice Cream Guy deserves his own movie...

He borrowed Han's clothes and probably didn't wash them. ;)
