Yeah, maybe user-submitted reviews are easy pickings, but I stumbled across this on the GameFAQs Phoenix Wright page:

First, if you don't like text-adventures, stay away from this game, as you will hate it, but if you just don't really care for the genre but would like to give it a shot, do it, as thats exactly what I did.
