Best Methods to Capture Analog VHS (Macrovision encoded) to Computer/Digital

I'm kinda gearing up to work on 2 Preservations that are only available on VHS: Jim Henson's holiday special The Christmas Toy and an animated special from the mid-80s called The Blinkins (while produced for the US, it was animated by anime studio TMS and featured work from several individuals who would later go to work for Studio Ghibli).

The Preservations will end up on DVD, so I need to rip the VHSs to computer for digital restoration and encoding. However, there is an issue that I'm facing at the moment: because the VHS tapes are from the only official releases that the shows had, the tapes have Macrovision encoding that needs to be removed during the conversion. Of course, this isn't a feature that I'm easily able to find on consumer Analog-to-Digital converters.

So, I guess what I'm asking is:
For those of you who have done such conversion from consumer VHS for Digital Preservation, what methods have you used or what methods do you think are best for converting Macrovision-encoding VHS to the computer?
