I recall when Shatner told Conan O’Brien how the 1970’s Kirk mask was used for Michael Meyers, and he didn’t believe him!

With all the crazy crossovers in the comics, I’m surprised a Trek/Halloween comic hasn’t been pitched yet.

They’re in the midst of working on a TNG-ALIENS crossover as we speak.

Seriously? My Tasha Yar/Ellen Ripley fanfic dreams are about to come true? 😉

Seriously though, way back in the days of dial up modems and BBS, I found a pretty awful TOS/Aliens crossover.

Hmmm, maybe he was referring to the Cold War-era light tank.

Speaking as a Latino myself, we generally don’t take slurs against us seriously. They’re something to laugh at.

In other news:

But we’ll also get to see a Klingon captain, a female admiral, a male admiral, a male adviser and a British male doctor.

Why not? DS9’s Martok was a great Klingon Captain, and he probably would’ve made a good Federation Captain. I always thought of Martok as the Klingon’s Picard.

I imagine it’s more that they’ll be a Klingon captain adversary. A Federation captain doesn’t fit in with Worf being the first Klingon in Starfleet thing.

Maybe they can bend it because Worf was the first to go to the Academy, but hopefully they don’t do that.

It depends on how long after DS9 that this series takes place. The Klingon’s and the Federation grew very tight during the Dominion War, even Chancellor Martok was excited that he’d have a Federation Ambassador to go “targ hunting” with, Worf being Ambassador. If that’s the case, Klingon’s may have entered the Federation Academy soon thereafter not in droves, but at least in a trickle.

EDIT: Additionally the Federation could implement a Klingon Officer Lateral Transfer program wherein Klingon Officers are allowed to enter Starfleet through an expedited Academy after the Dominion War.

I thought this show was supposed to take place between ENT & TOS.

Perhaps, I’m not up on it that much, maybe I’m speaking out of school.

According to the latest info it takes place 10 years before TOS

I have heard that it’s 10 years prior to the events of the episode “Where No Man Has Gone Before”, so that puts it about the same time as “The Cage”.

Alrighty then, please ignore my prior posts. I really hadn’t looked into that deeply. I thought it was going to be post Voyager/DS9.

Is it going to embrace the new timeline that J.J. Abrams put into effect?

Nope, just the Prime universe.

Cool. I’d would’ve been fine with it either way, but the Prime is the original and better.

Yep, the only person on the team who understood Star Trek is gone. But don’t be sad, they at least have the guy who wrote the Joel Schumacher Batman movies, so it still can be great
