Could be more work for the rumored digital release in November.
Ok, they are working on a new sound mix for ROTJ. Would they bother doing a new sound mix for the SE's? And why bother filming it? Or is this another hint at the OUT?

I certainly hope they're not doing a new sound mix for a purported "OUT".
More likely taking footage for a demonstrative special feature for Episode VII that will compare/contrast OT and ST techniques/technology.

Well they would have to if they want to do a 5.1 - 7.1 sound mix
I just highly doubt they'll be re-releasing the SE with the promise of, "NEW SOUND!" or "BETTER COLORS!". I just don't think that's enough to get people to double dip. I mean, a lot of people (even those less passionate of SW than us) are getting tired of not having the OUT. There were a lot of criticisms of the blu ray when it came out, not just on sites like this either but on real mainstream news sites too.
Any way to tell if the projected video is the SE or the OUT?

Not off of that particular shot.

well he has just commented about the picture posted. Not sure what he means by "good old fashioned interviews with out of towners". Why would everyone there have so many notes? And why would you be filming the screen?

This early?
I'd say this is either for a new SE or they're getting the audio just right for the OOT.
Or could they just be tweaking the existing 2011 audio for this rumored digital release?
Speaking of which, if the digital release is in November it would make sense that we haven't heard an official announcement just yet.
Well he said its not for a new release so either this is true or he's lying.
I think they pretty much film everything during pre- and production, for the purpose of using stuff for special features.
I don't buy that what's going on in this photo is not for any kind of release. Why bring in cameras and professionals to clearly work on something for no reason what-so-ever? I'm also not even sure his tweet denouncing any future release is in English, it didn't really make much sense.
Did he mean that it was all a show for people touring the studio? If that's the case then that really makes no sense

Looks like it could be a tv interview?
perhaps, but what interview would require them to do sound work on Return of the Jedi? and if they weren't doing work on ROTJ anyway then why would they be interviewed about that specifically? Idk, it just doesn't make much sense to me
Is that not Kathleen Kennedy in the red?
If Kathleen Kennedy is there supervising then that's a big thing. I doubt she'd show up for a completely pointless interview for "first timers" or whatever. Then again I don't know all the facts, so I shouldn't make assumptions
They're just showing off the fancy mixing room for some overseas journalist. The Jedi speeder bike scene is probably one of their go-to demo scenes.

Uhhh kinda
Guess I'm the comparison guy:

The photo looks about the same as the Blu-ray caught between frames. The only thing that stands out as different is the increased brightness and blue shift, which is also visible on the monitor. It may simply be a problem with the camera. Not enough info to tell right now.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Good God!
Nice going, Neverar!
Heh, I was actually gonna ask if someone could look up that shot on the blu-ray but I wasn't expecting such a perfectly lined-up comparison.
This thread is still going? Interesting.

My pleasure ;)

Nothing to see here, guys: just wasting resources, man-hours and whatnot. You know, the usual.
Then again they're part of an Evil Multinational Corporation now so who knows.
Granting this is true, and given the alleged state of the negatives for the OOT, I'd bet this is the SEs. I've been burned too badly too many times to get my hopes up.
