In regards to IX, I hope the path to the light side will dawn on Disney to ensure IX is written and directed properly.
My hopes is that some higher up sees an early cut of VIII and is so impressed he/she gets Rian to write IX as well.

But it’s not (or “no longer”) the case in the outside world. How many times have I heard these past few weeks “R1 rocks, TFA sucked so much, at last a good SW movie !” ? Too many. People are now accepting the fact that TFA is PT quality (even less…) with an OT skin (people IRL, don’t forget, not here).
You probably need to meet more people, or at least stop speaking for 99% of them.

It’s a nod to both trilogies, since it’s a single 6-part saga I don’t really see the difference…
The difference is the prequels are shit, R1 is acceptable and can be defined as the only prequel bar it’s flaws that can be edited out easily enough. Tfa can go with the prequels as that was just garbage.

To be fair it was never referenced in any of the films before Rogue One. So if your personal canon is the films only, as mine is, then the question of his home is an open one. Well, at least until Rogue One was released anyway.
