Kill the Poor
When Ya Get Drafted
Drug Me
California Uber Alles
I remember buying these off iTunes several years ago when I re-listened to the whole thing and realized I didn’t really want the other songs.

Fresh Fruit is a great album! I’m a big Dead Kennedys fan.

GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY AND BUILD A WALL ON YOUR WAY OUT
Hey man, you want an authority figure to defend a wall against TFN. I figure Germany would know best about walls.
Just doing my homework.

THIS IS WHY I HIRED YOU
Also there’s a Boba Fett sample in the album I’d never noticed before.

THATS NOT WHY I HIRED YOU
YOURE NO GOOD TO ME DISTRACTED
A fantastic album from some of my formative music years (and my sweet Goth phase). Bodypop is the European synthpop album from 1982 that you always wanted, except it dropped in 2006. That said, there’s still a bit of And One’s Industral vibe from their earlier albums around, but not much. And it’s full of great songs: Military Fashion Show is a fantastic song, Enjoy the Unknown is almost pure Depeche Mode while So Klingt Liebe is nearing Soft Cell, Body Company is just fantastic, and Traumfrau is one of my favorite songs to this day.

Fantastic in every way.
I love this album and Dead Can Dance in general. There’s just something about the mythical and ancient quality of their sound that gets me right where I live. Yulunga (Spirit Dance) is a great introduction to their sound (as well as Lisa Gerrard’s voice), and finally as an introduction the album, where it sets the tone perfectly. But really, every track is excellent: The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove is a beautiful and haunting breakup song done in classic Brendan Perry style. The Wind That Shakes The Barley is just as haunting itself, but this time with only a stark a cappella performance. Ariadne and Saldek both showcase Gerrard’s otherworldly glossolalia perfectly, and Perry joins in on Towards the Within, while The Spider’s Stratagem is a masterpiece of chanting and music. How Fortunate The Man With None is a great poem adapted into a great song.
