Is the dirt and damage on the optical soundtrack fixable? If not, I think someone around here has the PCM from the Laserdisc, and we could probably include the Dolby TrueHD track off the HD DVD if there’s room. 😉

Is anyone else here having problem opening Bl**g page?
“Secure Connection failed” It tells me, every time I try to load the page.

It also mentions that “The connection to bl***.*** was interrupted while the page was loading.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.”
Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated.

It’s a problem with my PC. Thanks anyway.

I’ll have to download those.

Came across the instagram account of a projectionist(?), who’s been posting frames from a modern print. Fun to compare with ours.

Note the Dolby Digital track.

Scan is completed. It will soon be finding it’s way to the new Caretaker tasked with working on it.

Super stoked for this project; love the film and the films about the film. If there is a way that I can contribute, let me know.

Were you talking of the new UK re-release trailer? If so, then I saw it.

Author

Damn I wish I could see that in the theaters; the trailer was scary as hell.

It’s sad these re-releases are not happening worldwide. Back in the days of celluloid projection, I do recall seeing posters of old movies being played on theatres, many years after their original release. Now, it’s mostly only if the movie has a cult following and a 3D re-release.

“The BFI release is a magnificent new digital transfer from Warner Bros. of the US version…”

Notwithstanding the corrected tennis ball, I bet it doesn’t include the Saul Bass Warner Bros logo 😦

Yeah, but that’s the case with 99% of Warner’s back catalog isn’t it?

It’s good to hear that they’re showing the US version. Is the US version the one usually seen on Blu-Rays and DVDs in the UK?
