God, I’m sorry to hear that, Warb. I don’t really know what to say.

Author
Time

Me either. We’re all here for you in our small way.

Terrible news Warb.
I too was numbed by my dad’s passing. The reactions you expect will come in time but you may just find yourself not registering. It’s a perfectly natural response. There will be lots to arrange. You are a very responsible chap so I can imagine you helping your mum and the other family and friends of your dad but be kind to yourself. Try and think of people you can talk to if you need them so you know where to go if the need arises.

My sympathies warb. Stay strong and stay you. I know I give you a lot of ribbing on here but you’re an excellent human being. Don’t be bothered by your numbness. We all react to grief in our own way and you don’t owe anyone an explanation or even need one for yourself. Just feel whatever you feel in your own way.

Man, Warb. I dunno what to say. Hang in there. We’re all thinking about you and your family here. Take your time with this.

Jesus, Warbler. I’m so sorry, man. I wish I could say something to offer comfort, but I feel like I’d be hollow. We’re here for you in whatever capacity we can be, and I am truly sorry. I can’t even imagine your pain. That’s honestly all I can think of to say.

… I’ll add myself to those who have no words to give, Warb. I’ll pray for peace and comfort, though.

Yeah Warb. You’ve got my prayers in this too. I’m so sorry man. I really am.

Peace.

I envy your faith. I really, really do.

You don’t need to say anything else. I can’t imagine what you’re going through. It’s hard for me to imagine that anything I can say would make you feel consoled.

its ok, I feel the same when others have experienced the loss of a loved one. I find it difficult to find the words.

Just got back from the funeral. Everything went as well as could be expected for a funeral. The only real problem was the weather. It was pouring rain at the cemetery. But other than that, it was a beautiful service. Family and friends were very supportive.

I’m glad Warb. I hope you’re doing okay.

Rain at a funeral always seems fitting.
