It’s Japanese, ours is not to understand.

I totally forgot about this terrible, terrible Windows 7 “launch party” ad. I’m not even gonna outline all the reasons why it’s terrible, since it’s just so stupid. I mean, a “launch party” for anything other than the moon landings is just a ludicrous idea to me.

I also love how whoever uploaded this (presumably Microsoft) have disabled ratings and comments.

I actually find it quite inspiring such a young person is so interested in creating physical puppets. It looks like the video is rather popular so hopefully the right person will see it and give this artist the job he deserves.

Brilliant.

A bit late but something like this could replace the crappier CGI characters in the prequels.

I find YouTube sucks. Should I just go ahead and make an account so that I can block unwanted recommendations and purveyors of clickbait? Is it possible to filter out the garbage to some extent? I usually hate signing up to things, but I am beginning to reconsider.

You’re not the only one.

Well, it won’t make the annoying ads go away, if that’s what you’re wondering.

AdBlock Plus makes the ads go away!

There’s also an option to turn them off in Magic Actions, which I also use, as well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have been using AdBlock Plus for years - it’s a fantastic add-on and I never see ads on YouTube (or virtually anywhere for that matter). I used Chrome for a while but there were a few things that bugged me and I ended up back on Firefox. I think I am just going to make an account; I guess I can just delete it if things become even more annoying, but I doubt that’s possible.

AdBlock Plus Element Hider is great too, you can use it to block signature images, animated gifs and bunny skyscrapers. On the same topic of blocking unwanted/harmful crap, you can use your hosts file in Windows to block websites and popups that persist despite your browser settings: Blocking Unwanted Connections with a Hosts File The page makes it look fiddly but it is just a matter of finding the location, backing up the original and replacing it with the hosts file provided. You can also add to it yourself using Notepad.
