Why should Disney give us what we have wanted for 20 years when they can milk TFA, Rouge One, Episodes 8&9, the Han Solo movie, and a third spinoff for decades to come?
There are college students today who have never seen the original versions of the OT. That scares me.
Undoing the SE and restoring the originals should be the first priority of everyone on this site. We are literally the only place on the internet that is dedicated to the real versions of the OT.

I hope the holiday special is remastered and released on media sometime tho. I wanna watch it legally.

Wookies can learn Basic you know! Also just because Wookies have different vocal cords and a different language doesn’t mean the Force should flow through them any less than it does with humans or ithorians.

The Star Wars revival really began with the Zahn books and Dark Horse getting the comics license but it never really became unpopular. I remember constantly coming across rumours of prequels and sequels which came to nothing but sold magazines.

And it’s not like Wookiees are too stupid to speak or understand Basic; they understand it fine, but their biology prevents them from speaking it. Their vocal cords, tongues and lips are unable to pronounce the nuances of Basic, so they speak Shyriiwook.
