Halloween is the only horror film that is actually a well made film. Friday The 13th, Child’s Play and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are fun movies but they’re not very good when compared good films in other genres

I thought A Nightmare on Elm Street was pretty well made.
Not enough people read the EU.

For a horror movie but I haven’t seen it since I was like 13 so I could come out feeling differently if I watched it now
Halloween is the only horror film that is actually a well made film.
This is by far the stupidest thing I’ve read here. That’s like saying “there’s only one good sci-fi movie.”

Difference is that Sci Films are not known for being okay at best. Terrible terrible analogy
Idiot.
Nice rebuttal
No anime is the only anime film that is actually a well made film because they’re all terrible.
Don’t worry Ray, this is what he meant to say but his fingers slipped.
Nice rebuttal
Well, at least it included a period.

What point is there in rebutting a statement like, “Halloween is the only well-made horror movie”? It shouldn’t even be dignified with a response.

Your childish prodding didn’t warrant a rebuttal

Except I didn’t say that. Can you please stop misquoting me?
“Halloween is the only well-made horror movie.”
“Halloween is the only horror film that is actually a well made film.”
Gosh, those are completely different!
Perhaps you should explain further.
Oh no, is this the “film =/= movie” meme?
Ceci n’est pas une signature.

Whatever, I was paraphrasing, because like I said, it didn’t warrant a response in the first place so who cares? Either way, I may have misquoted you, but I didn’t misrepresent you.

The exorcist isn’t a well made film?

Gladly. Even though it appeals to a niche audience a majority of people see horror movies as poorly made films. Do me a favor and look up the scores for the following
Halloween - Halloween 2
Friday The 13th - Friday The 13th Part 4
Child’s Play - Child’s Play 3
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974 and 2003 remake)
Etc. and you’ll see people don’t really see many of these movies as being even good. They will always have a special place in my heart due to the obsession I had with them when I was growing up but a lot of people don’t feel the same way. Now when it comes to Halloween I don’t even see it as a Horror Film I just see it as a good film period. To me it transcends the limitations that so many other films in the genre are known for and stands up regardless of genre.
EDIT:
Either way, I may have misquoted you, but I didn’t misrepresent you.
The exorcist isn’t a well made film?
I have’t seen that one in a long time. Let me get back to you on that one because it seems a trip down memory lane is in order.
Are Scream and Cabin in the Woods good films? What about REC?
I hate most horror films but those were good.
Scream is more of Horror/Comedy hybrid and is a critique on the genre and on pop culture so I wouldn’t consider it a true horror movie. I still like the movie a lot nonetheless. I didn’t like Cabin In The Woods other than the arrow kill.

Well I can tell you it was pretty well received by critics. Also has a score of 87% on RT.
REC?
REC?
He only has room on his horror shelf for Child’s Play. No room for good movies.
And, again, saying there’s only one good horror movie since 1896 is stupid. And totally false.
Well I don’t know, he did like the arrow kill in Cabin in the Woods…
