I want an in universe explanation.

He refused to put the lotion on his skin, so he got the hose again.

In other words, he’s a waterlogged Palpy.

I didn’t bother to read what you wrote so I’ll just post some random nonsense. . . .

WYSHS

WYSHS

That doesn’t make any sense. In fact, the ‘WYSHS’ version is factually incorrect: I did read Duracell’s post, and I just wanted to post something tangentially related to it.

I was just saying that he should have used WYSHS instead of FTFY, because that’s old and lame and WYSHS is new and cool.

For the cryptographers among you… a SW thought so random, it doesn’t even appear to relate to SW at first.

Wasn’t Nibelungs one of Ackbar’s assistants?

I always assumed that Palpatine looked old and horrible in Jedi because he was already 80 years old in the prequels, and Return of the Jedi was almost 30 years later. I guess it’s because his face melted though.

That was something they fucked up. Realistically they could have gone one of two ways with it.

A) He’s already very old in the PT so in the OT he’s wrinkly cause the dark side has kept him alive past his expiration date. It seems like they were going this way in AOTC where Palps is on his way towards wrinkly (but then they dialed in back in ROTS - where he looks much younger - and necessitated the big wrinkly transformation).
B) The wrinkly is his true form which he is hiding. In fairness to ROTS, this is a legitimate interpretation of what happened.

But what ROTS really seems to be showing is that Palps turned wrinkly because he got hit with his own lighting. Or wait maybe it was because he was going crazy with the power of the dark side? I’m not sure. Did George even know what that was all about?

Either way, the real travesty of it all was the atrocious ROTS make up.

By way of explanation I should note that this matrix is actually rather interesting, given its apparent subject: clothing as plot. Or rather, costume design as foreshadowing.

As Doc Brown likes to say, the future isn’t written.

Speaking of SW conundra: the SDCC plushies this year seem to be really channeling the spirit of Deuteronomy.

This is my favourite Youtube video of all time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kj08Jwp-2q0

I gave it two seconds.

You have terrible taste. Which makes it strange that you like that one better than the one you posted about anime, you know, the one with the slit-eyed guy superimposed over footage of the Two Towers burning…
