I think that was lifted from a late 70’s comic book shop ad for the Kenner figures, which “borrowed” some Marvel comic art, but came up with their own misspellings. Was weird seeing that ad in an issue of Star Wars. Either Marvel didn’t notice the art swipe, or didn’t care.

Hans Solo

I have a friend who claims to be a huge Star Wars fan. He constantly calls him “Hans Solo.”

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

I wish they’d just let them build the museum. It’s always sounded like a great concept.

So what’s the deal with the museum?

Chicago politics. And locals apparently don’t want what they perceive to be a big ugly building going up in the area.

Looks like Los Angeles might be getting it instead now.

George wants to build a museum to put all his cool movie memorabilia, but there was a lot of lobbying against it in San Francisco, so he decided to go to Chicago and now people are lobbying against it there.

It’s really stupid. I’d love to see half of the crazy stuff he’s collected over the years, and I’m sure people would come to see it.

L.A. is probably a better fit. The Academy Awards are opening a museum in a landmark 1930’s dept store there in 2018.

He wasn’t interested in LA from what I remember because he isn’t a Hollywood fan.

I’ve been to Chicago. I have family there. It is 99.9% “big ugly buildings” and like one nice area. Can’t imagine what the locals have to complain about a pretty cool looking museum being built there.

He allegedly called Hollywood “an abomination” once. (And relocated Lucasfilm up North when Star Wars made it possible.) But he can’t build it in San Francisco either.

Yeah, I just wonder what his plans are now. Him deciding to give up on Chicago is recent news.

I believe he has a plan to deal with the next city that opposes him. 😉

From what I understand (having seen Harmy pick them up,) Their main selling point is that their backsides have the poster art from the theatrical release.

Why they didn’t do that as their main cover art, I have no idea.
