That’s great news. I’m sure he’ll see life with a fresh perspective though adjusting to not being dead could take a while I would imagine.

It’s weird to not be dead. You end up walking around old buildings not scaring people.
That’s great news, Bingo!

What a rare event…
I drove twelve miles home tonight and didn’t encounter one bad driver. No speedsters, no tailgaters, nobody on the phone/smoking/eating/drinking/doing their makeup, nobody parked where they shouldn’t be, nobody failing to indicate.
Everybody I saw was just being super awesome behind the wheel. Well done, people of the place where I live.
Pretty much every car I saw today was either white or red.
Weird.

That is weird. Your town needs more diversity! 😉

I wonder what’s the “target demographic” for white cars.

Owners of, or people with shares in, car washes?
People who wish to identify and take responsibility for the bugs they kill?
Snowy country-based folk who like to keep a low profile?

And what for a red car?

People who live in the desert know that a white car reflects sunlight (and thus heat) much better than other colours.
Not that your dashboard won’t still be 203 degrees Fahrenheit when you get in after a day at the shops, but it could be worse.

It looks like he has had a mini-stroke as he has a weakness on his right side but he can speak (albeit sounding understandably tired) they will keep in for a while to gauge his ability to cope and hopefully he will be back home in a couple of weeks.
I’ll pop down to England to see him and the family.
Just been talking to his benefactor who now lives in Australia.
Modern technology can be a pain in the arse but it is amazing that I can chat to someone in the Czech Republic and someone in Australia from Scotland about the health of a man in an Indian hospital who normally lives in England.
Looking forward to looping my space chums into the network.
Change is good. Even for spiders.

I had enough free time today to actually sit down and read a book. 😃

Was it a real paper one, or electronic?

A real paper one. I often read both, but I’d take a nice hardcover book over an ebook any day.

Might as well *GASP* when you find yourself not listening to a Victrola.
I’ve found ebooks are much more convenient, but my eyes prefer the paper.
I only read braille.
Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.
That must be a real pain in the neck. Have you ever seen how big a book in braille is? Unless you just read those signs that have a braille transcription on them.
😉
Now I’m trying to picture how large a blind bibliophile’s personal library must be.
Haha, I think they listen to most of their books, or read using text-to-speech. There was a blind guy in my math class who was big into “readng” and that’s what he did most of the time.
I just closed the deal and purchased 3 acres of agricultural property on Hawaii in order to start an off-grid organic fruit farm.

With all that space we’re all invited over to visit, right? I think it’d be rude not to.
