I need an invite from my spleen. I’d much prefer the correct Empire menus 😃

I won’t be home for the next couple of hours, but send me private messages with your email and I will send out invites.

Just make sure you try to keep a positive share Ratio or they will delete your account. They hate leechers there.

Given my slow upload speeds and that i am currently seeding the 4 SW BDs, I’ll hold off on putting Empire on myspleen for a few days to give the current set a chance to seed strongly first.

So a little patience required for those who want those 2 spelling mistakes fixed.

If you decide not to wait, the MEGA links remain available.

Hey njvc - I burned ESB BD25 (Feature Only) to a BluRay and popped it in my player, and was flummoxed why the DTS-HD tracks weren’t showing up properly on my receiver. I went through all my player and receiver settings, and everything seemed normal. I even put my SW disk in the verify, and it showed up just fine.

Next step, run the disk through MakeMKV to see what the track options are, and sure enough, somehow (at least my copy, from Mega) only the “core” audio tracks got burnt to the iso (and therefore my disk).

Not sure if this was intended, or perhaps a slight oversight? Just wanted to confirm I’m not crazy, and that the ESB BD25 only has the standard DTS, and not the DTS-HD tracks.

Thanks for all the great work you’ve been doing!

I have been a member of the spleen for 5 and a half years and I can tell you the above is a ridiculous flat out lie. They’ve always been lenient.

Untrue, there was a purge die to Original trilogy members grabbing star wars and then running and never seeding.

Please stop trying to say torrent sites have no problems with people who leech. That is obviously a stupid statement.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I’ve traced the problem back to incorrect settings when I extracted the audio files via MeGUI - HD-DVD/Blu-ray Streams extractor.

I used the default settings (Which are DTS), assuming it would extract the file in its original form. Turns out you have to manually selected DTSHD in the dropdown menu.

I am really sorry to those who already downloaded and burned the disk. This calls for a recall and a rebuild. There are two challenges that this issue poses.

  1. rebuilding the 25GB and 50GB ESB disks with the new audio files
  2. finding an extra 1GB of space to free up to allow for the higher file sizes, which will mean potentially dropping some of the special features/audio options to allow for it.

I’ll take a look and see what I can figure out. Shaving off a little bitrate from some of the longer special features should do the trick.

Again, really sorry for the mistake on my part.

“Please stop”. I only said it once. I also didn’t say torrent sites yada yada yada. I was only talking about the Spleen. For the most part the spleen has been lenient. I should know I’ve been there a long time like I said. I didn’t really know about the purge because I obviously seeded.

Something only has to happen once for someone to want it stopped.

The Spleen is a torrent site, a private torrent site. There was a huge uproar over it a few years back. It is fine you did not know, but you called me a liar so I fired back in kind. Don’t like harsh words sent your way? One way to greatly reduce it happening is to not send them out first.

I do not have to worry about leech purges either:

Class: Power User
Uploaded: 2.14 TB
Downloaded: 95.82 GB
Share ratio: 22.865

But enough of that, EVERYONE should strive to have a positive ratio on the Spleen - it is a great site and everyone should help others get what they themselves got. 😃 Lets all help take care of a sharing site that takes care of us.

With as much work as you have done, things like this are bound to happen. Do not worry about it! I am just glad you did not put it on MySpleen yet. It is easier to fix it now than to have to re-release it later. 😃

njvc-

I’m wondering if only including the Despecialized tracks, as they come on Harmy’s release of ESB 2.0, (rather than including Superego, Rifftrax, etc) will give you enough room for the BD25? Not sure if it will help the BD50 though, but it would line up well with how you released the BD25 for SW (only using the audio tracks that have traditionally come with Despecialized releases)…

Again, no need to be sorry! These releases are amazing, and I’m sure we can all be patient while you take your time…

Yes, for the film only version i will have to lose a few audio tracks for sure. Thanks for understanding.

If anyone who has already downloaded the current 50gb ESB has found any other issues or has feedback please let me know. Now would be the time!

Will play around with ESB tomorrow, so far Star Wars is %100, would love a new D/L for Empire when it’s available.

I haven’t noticed anything off, it’s fantastic. Then again I didn’t notice any typos or audio options missing either, so I guess I’m not the sharpest eye out there.

Either way I’ll happily re-DL the “fixed” version once you get it on Mega, just to satisfy my OCD.

Thanks guys. I guess there’s always a silver lining - I only discovered the Vivaldi teaser trailer after I had finished the disk, so now I can add that into the mix as well. I’m just shaving off a small amount of bitrate from some of the longer special features, so it should be unnoticeable in terms of picture quality difference, but it will be great to have the correct audio reinstated.

Speaking of OCD, I’ll also correct some of the line margins on the special features menu, to make sure they all line up in perfect symmetry!

All work and no play makes njvc a dull boy…

Lol.

That is a silver lining though, sounds like it is worthwhile.

Tomorrow I hope to burn the 50gb SW disk, hope my new burner works!

By the way, while we take a brief break from our regular scheduled programming, I should let everyone know that I am planning to build a 3 disk set for each film with these blurays, with a ‘bonus’ 3rd disk included, featuring a related fan-edit.

Planned set:

SW

  1. Film + Features BD50
  2. Documentaries BD25
  3. Adywan Revisited DVD

ESB

  1. Film + Features BD50
  2. Documentaries BD25
  3. Pulp Empire BD25

ROTJ

  1. Film + Features BD50
  2. Documentaries BD25
  3. War of the Stars (Part I & II) BD25

After I’ve completed the main trilogy set, I’ll get to creating the Pulp Empire and WOTS Blurays. The Adywan DVD is obviously already available.

Lastly, I’m waiting on a friend comedian/podcaster to complete a planned commentary for ROTJ, which he tells me will be done in 2 weeks, so there might be a bit of a wait for the ROTJ set. Will keep the forum updated with progress.

EDIT: Even more lastly, I have now fixed up all those issues with the ESB BD50, plus a few other small fixes:

  • Fixed spelling errors in chapter menu
  • Added DTS-HD-MA audio tracks
  • Fixed up minor formatting issues in the menus
  • Added the Vivaldi teaser trailer
  • Added an improved quality version of the Atari game commerical

This is a tight fit, coming in at 49.66GB! I’ll begin the upload process soon.

As far as the spleen goes, they are indeed incredibly lenient compared to any other private tracker. There may have been one SW related purge, when they also stopped handing out invites for SW, but mostly they just delete inactive accounts. That tends to cover the people who just grab a SW release or two, because they never log back in anyway.

Myspleen is the only private tracker I know of where you see a user talking shit about a release in the comments, click their name and see they’re a member of two years with a .02 ratio. 😃

That said, I’m all for telling new invitees that they need to seed, which I believe is how this discussion started.

Had some time to play around the my burned copy of empire and can only find the 2 known errors. Thanks again for all your hard work on this.

I’m having trouble with the SW 50g disc. I’ve tried to burn it 3 times - but it doesn’t seem to play correctly. I’ve burned twice with dvdfab and once with IMG burn. Not sure what the problem is. I downloaded from Mega. 😕

Author

Sorry to hear that. I know many people have burned the file without issue so I’m guessing it’s a bad download or a hardware problem.
