Ha! Put it in the current ROTR thread (Revenge rather than Return) because by the time I get to Return we’ll have all forgotten what it means.
Hmm… would that be good to post in the ROTR thread?
Army of Darkness: The Medieval Deadit | The Terminator - Color Regrade | The Wrong Trousers - Audio Preservation
SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

This must be implemented on the Return of the Ridiculousness.

Please shut up.
No
Does anyone here have any sources for subtitles for the 1997 Special Edition Trilogy? now that we can add them I would like to gather what we can on these 3.
Thanks in advance
We can use sub rips from the 04 DVD’s, so if you Guys have them and can rip them this would be great!
I would check with Catbus. Though if there’s a quick and easy way to do it, I have the DVDs on hand.

Cool, but looks like other Countries may have more subs then we have on our US DVD’s, are you in US? I mean we need those to but we could use the others as well lol.

I am. Let me pop them into my computer really quick and see if I can come up with anything.
EDIT: If all else fails, I did personally create an SRT file for Star Wars, and with some patience could come up with one for Jedi.
EDIT 2: Disregard that last statement, that’s just alien subs.
I think I found a solution for ripping subs- I’ll let you know in a couple of minutes.
PgcDemux does it, and I am sure other programs.
I’m trying Avidemux right now, if that doesn’t work I’ll try PgcDemux. If it can do multiple subs at once, I would prefer that option. Right now I have to do one at a time and hope it works properly.
I am pretty sure it will rip all subs at once and anything else on the DVD lol, I use this program still to this day.
I can’t seem to get it to work. I’m going to give Handbrake a try.
Okay, so first I have to decrypt it using DVD Decrypter, then I can attempt to use Handbrake. This may take a while.
Here’s the ones I included with my laserdisc releases for the 97SE. They were ripped from the '04 NTSC discs OCR’ed and time-shifted to match up with CapableMetal’s project which I used as a sync guide for all of my 97SE stuff. I’m not 100 percent sure the OCR is completely correct but maybe they will be of use to you.
EDIT: Links are good for 7 days.
Luke threw twice…maybe.
So I’ve got something… I’ve got a few .idx files, .sub files, and one .srt file. Here’s the Drive link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6s_4U0K-xHScUVFalBrUjBNbUE
If for some reason they happen to be better than Althor’s (though I doubt it) I will do ESB and ROTJ.

Can you try PgcDemux? subtitle files are just 1 file for each language.

Thanks I grabbed them and we will see what we can do.
I think the infamous “Five Star” bootleg DVD’s made from the SE Laserdiscs have subtitles, but I haven’t watched them in ages, nor have any idea how accurate they are. They could be Backstroke of The West level crazy though.
Where were you in '77?

That’s what it appears to be here. I’ll try again only if Althor’s don’t work.
Just a quick question, Are these from laserdiscs? If so, is it upscaled? Would love to see new beak of the Sarlacc.

Dark Jedi,
Check out this discussion; a couple of his sources might have something for the subtitles?

I also have a VHS (recorded off-air) with the following listed on it:
“The Force Returns: Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition”, 1997, from the Sci-Fi Channel, 23:30 minutes
“Star Wars-An MTV Movie Special”, 1997, 21 minutes
I hope this might help!
